I am working this alt to mine (ore, ice, gas), PI, refine, then into the industrial areas for production.

1). I have heard it is far better to mine and do my resource collecting activities in null. I agree BUT should I go with an alliance that holds sov?
2). How difficult would it be to find a corp in null sec? Ive never tried realy, my main is a trade toon soon to be freighter/jump frighter.
3). While I'm at it anyone looking for a new miner? I know the ropes and have been playing a few years, just need to get my hands wet in null.

This is my alt. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My alt is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my main. My alt, without my main, is useless. Without my alt, my main is useless.

Been some years since I've done the nullsec thing but when I did, it was generally; "if in sov holding alliance/coalition, spend 100% of your time defending or being deployed at staging areas near hostile territory". Not that this is bad, it's extremely fun but yeah people will resent you for mining if sovereignty is on the line. If making wealth is your aim, then probably look for a renter alliance, if that's still a thing.

A lot of sov nullsec alliances are looking for miners to boost the industrial index in their systems. A few have established pure industrial corporations. Some require participation in home defense PVP, but not all. Check the recruitment section of the forums. Look for a corporation that offers fleet mining with Rorqual boost. It's dangerous to mine alone, particularly with low skills - there are always roaming PVP players looking for a ganking opportunity and the rats fly battleships!

Just a tip, if you're going to mix mining and industry, you HAVE to remember that "the minerals you mine aren't free!!!"

Basically, that means that if you can make more from selling the minerals, there's no point in manufacturing the item, as long as you're aiming for profits. For instance, a miner mines 100 tritanium. He uses that to manufacture a ship which sells for 500 isk and uses all his trit. However, he could have sold that trit for 600 isk, so he loses out on 100 isk he could have made otherwise.

This is a signature.

It has a 25m signature.

No it's not a cosmic signature.

Probably.

Btw my corp's recruiting.

I completely agree with that

As someone who makes all their money from Research and Manufacturing, if you have at least 2B or so Liquid ISK, I highly recommend you do not bother mining when you can make way more isk per effort with a high sec production POS.
