Battleclinic was always my first stop when I needed to fit a ship I never flown before even after the infamous update, these days I know enough to fit the ships myself but I owe it all to the fits I found over there.
I'm sad to see it go and wish all people involved good luck in the future!

There are none, part of what made BC fitting posts good was the not so uncommon detailed description of what the fit did and what to engage/not to engage, aswell as a lively comment section for honourable spacenerds to discuss alternatives and fixes to the fit in question.

Complaints were mainly launched by people who didn't know you can show only fits for the current expansion, or that you can sort by ranking. Or that lolfits actually ended up downvoted to oblivion or simply locked.

It even had a bunch of trendy fits posted before they became normal in space, like hulltanked navy brutixes or active tanked dualweb railphobos all the way from *how do I rifter*-posts.

Sad to see it go, even in light of the botched UI rework.

We need to find a new home for EveMon. Not 2 days ago I was telling a newbro that he should get EveMon and use it to decide how he wants to remap for his expected skill training over the next year.

Despite what some have stated, this is indeed sad news.

For as long as I can remember, BattleClinic has always been the first go-to site when doing fit ups on new ships. It was a good site and the fit ups were great to use as a basic guide. BC went hand in hand with EFT which allowed players the ability to customize and tweak those fit ups for specific usage to their skill level.

Yes, sad news indeed.

It's not that, Old BC used to have a decent fitting tool, and KB. With a fair bit of Spacenerd who knew what was shitfit and what wasn't and would let people know what was shitfit and if wasn't a complete shitfit would tell people how to make the fit better.

The new one, was harder to navigate, you could only search for fits that include all fits, or the only recent patch. So if you wanted to Find a Gila fit after it's recent patch, you would also get ALL the pre-buffed Gila's as well. Making it even harder to find the right one.

Also the Killboard after the update at some point thought I was in Marmite. I have never been in Marmite.


So yeah, bitter that a semi-decent site, when from semi-decent, to complete trash. Also Bitter that they rather quit than improve. But hey, they probably didn't get alot of money from the site, and have RL **** to attend to.

After redesign Battleclinic became unusable anyway. I used to check " fits from killboard, most popular among top players" feature, but it was entirely missing after redesign made few years ago.

I dont get people shitting on BC fits.
Every fit, no matter where you get it from, is a suggestion - no more and no less. Besides, BC only provided a platform to share those fits. Players like us posted them. Hate EVE players, not BC.

So what I'm hearing is we now need an alternative source for fittings, then?

I mean the killboard was nice but I always used BC like a fitting lab for ideas.
