EVE voice issues...

So... EVE voice. All the settings have been vetted back and forth and are correct, my headset works just fine in skype and various other applications. I join an EVE voice channel and get... nothing, no voice. People talk, I don't hear anything. Nobody hears me when I speak either. A few minutes later i'll simply disconnect from the voice channel. It just says "Notify Left Voice Channel: Whatever."




Recent problem. No luck with the petitions, no luck with the googles. Any solutions, gentlemen?

Sounds like your firewall is blocking it.

Anyone know which ports/protocol eve voice uses? I'm guessing it's not the standard 26000 game port.

My firewall is and was disabled the whole time.

check your router too. The firewall on that could be misbehaving.

Unfortunately I am on a campus for the time being. Having access to the router is out of the question. I did, however, speak to our great IT staff, and they assured me there should be no issues... Take that how you will.





Also, it was working fine for the last 2 months. It doesn't appear to be a recent problem with crucible either, as I was able to use EVE voice directly after crucible...
