MMO in space, FPS in station

Unreal Tournament-like environment inside stations with multiple instances. Too epic. An FP within an MMO. Shoot your war targets, capture the flag to conquer stations that have had the sov taken away. Headshot implants to oblivion and lose isk every time u respawn in a new clone. X amount of hours a day you can hide and not take part or certain stations that do not allow pvp.

Nevermind dust, just work in concert with other game designers to mesh two games. UnrealTournament already is based in space station environments.

let the carebear h8h8h8 begin.

Why not just play Unreal Tournament then?

Hahahaha, no, if you want shooters, play BF3 and UT3 and other dedicated FPS.

If they want to add that in Eve, I want them to make it like GOW or Mass Effect. (TPS)

Inappropriate signature, CCP Phantom.

The idea is cool and I'm sure everybody can relate to that to some point.. But the problem with this is that it changes the demographic of the game. You'll get a huge influx of players (if it's done well enough) that will only play EVE for the FPS side. Then the FoS side of the game will be neglected. That's why CCP is doing it as a completely seperate game. If you want to do this just buy DUST when it comes out, I'm sure they'll expand the game to fight in stations as well at some point in the future.

Because Unreal Tournament is only about kills. This would be about station conquering and getting back at those smack talking station campers. Im sure CCP could come up with more inscentives to keep people playing both games and not just one by including benefits that apply out of station and tieing in missions/goals/isk making. Things that only benefit you in a space ship.

It'd be cool if u killed someone w/o shooting them in the head and scooped their implants ;)

I realise this idea is a bit ridiculous ;) I just think it'd be too much fun.

Na, this would be only for people with EVE accts and upgradeable characters like on Battlefield via stuff you can only do in your space ships. That would keep people playing in their space ships. They wouldnt be able to progress w/o playing. That and who wants to pay monthly for just a FPS? Most of them are free online after you shell out 60 bucks for the game. Furthermore, it wouldnt be just one big pvp area in the station. More like a common area and a base for each corporate office that is safe and can be bought upgrades and can be sieged/attacked by players. If you dock in a station that you dont have an office in, uh oh, cuz you're wide open to be attacked. When at war you are not allowed into the peaceful areas because station owners do not want the violence spilling over. All you can do is be in the open pvp area or your corp office/fort.

That would be really nice to have. You bottle up a bunch of war targets, they hide in their office and dominate the station. Given enough time they filter people in and undock in a fury or the attackers come piling in if they have enough numbers and take out the purchased defenses on their office and its a battle of attrition from there on. They either die and wake up in a non-combat clone station or choose to go spilling out of the station into space and the ship battle is back on. It'd be way complex to plan and balance, but Im sure for someone who's full time job it is, its doable.
