Hi

Not sure if this is the right place for this, if not please feel free to move.

It would seem there is a CCP folder under C:\ProgramData which is 20.2gb in size, this happens to reside on a fairly small SSD, I am happy to uninstall and reinstall the game, but is there any way i can not have this CCP folder on the C drive nd move it to another drive?

Thanks

it there is a folder called SharedCache here you can move it somewhere else

other games don't install here usually

From the beta launcher in the settings, there is a SharedCache setting button allowing you to move this folder elsewhere, but there is a "Vefify" button there that may help you recover space (some files are obsolete and will be removed by this)

alternatively, remove SharedCache completely and launch "ResCache" from the Eve Folder, this will re download all the data

this folder should be 13GB not 20

the old launcher have a setting in "download" to chose the "sharedcache" folder, dunno if you have to move this folder manually

if you don't know how to do any of the above : simply uninstall the game, delete the folders, reinstall the game and chose somthing else than C:\

nub friendly method:

open your notepad and paste the following there :

Quote:
rescache.exe purge
pause

then save it as purge.bat --(select "All files" in the "Save as type" )

in the following folder :

C:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\SharedCache\tq

then go to the folder and run the file.

should cut the size of your data files to 12.3gb or so.

edit:

if u use test servers also then this purge might delete the files needed for that. just dont run the same thing on the ...sisi folder like i did .. ended up deleteing 1gb worth of files needed for TQ :D

EVElopedia < add this to your sig to show u WANT it back

TQ folder in SharedCache is the result of installing Beta Launcher

you'll find rescache in the folder where your eve binary currently is (usually c:\program files \ somewhere)

if you have 2 SharedCache folder, then only one is good : the one referenced in the launcher settings

try simply renaming (or deleting) the one not referenced and launch the game. if it works, delete the renamed folder, it was redundant or from an old installation.
