Still would like to see EVE advertising more effectively

I've mentioned this before, but I'd really like to see the playerbase grow more. The current advertising doesn't seem to be doing much.

We know that the art teams for EVE can make some incredible videos. How much would it cost to see one of these on a digital billboard, and would we have to be sure it wasn't on a billboard where drivers would be so distracted by the ad, that they'd stop driving safely?

Don't anger the forum gods.

CCP has driven EVE to a place where advertising won't cut it, since EVE's issues are not related to awareness.

For years, and for different reasons, CCP didn't attended properly the cash cows in EVE. Now they are leaving the game faster than CCP can sort it, and CCP's financials are taking some kind of hit. The kind of hit that leads a MMO to consider a tiny-wee-bit of pay-to-win and take a first step on the road to free to play.

What EVE needs is Avatar Gameplay for 2011, Sovereignty III for 2013 and Highsec Reloaded for 2015.

We're here in 2015 without avatar gameplay, Sovereignty III has been implemented with dubious success and a Highsec revamp is not even in the plans.

Whatever happens next, will be based less on what we the players voice and more on what CCP's financials dictate.

Very probably, 2015 will have been the last good year for EVE... Sad
