EVE Alliance Tournament Discussion

Sorry if this is a little off-topic but its the best place to put this.

So, I was really looking forward to this skin. The thing that had hyped me up the most was this line from the dev blog describing the alliance rewards.

"As with Alliance Tournament XII, we will be offering a ship SKIN that can be applied to the Nightmare pirate battleships to give them a similar visual style to the Imp and Fiend."

When CCP said that this skin would not only be applied to the nightmare, but all Sansha ships, I was even more excited to get my hands on this skin. I saved up for months not knowing how much this skin would go for. Well now it is finally in the game, and it turns out it is just an EOM skin for a pirate ship line. It doesn't even have the alliance tournament engraved on the side like it did with the rattlesnake of the previous alliance tournament.

My expectations were not to have a copy of the fiend and imp, but for the ships to ATLEAST have a similar style with the stripes going across the hull or maybe just the same color scheme, as vaguely promised by CCP in the dev blog.

Is there some kind of error with the skin or is this actually what the skin is supposed to be?

I agree with the OP. No AT XIII somewhere on it????

I mean come on guys. Tinting the green to blue is not exactly a skin for a tournament. That is not changing anything except a base color. Why don't the skins look like the awesome fiend/imp? Seems like that would have been a simple thing to do with a "copy/paste" for at least two of them.

There is saying if you want something done properly, do it yourself. But in this case, we cant do anything! Literally EVERYONE who I talked to are saying that this skin is bad.
CCP! This is not what AT community expected from you. Add, as suggested, white stripes like on imp, but in different direction -- if you want it different, make them not white, make them not stripes, but do something! Current skin status -- it would be better if you gave us nothing at all.
Please consider working on skin more and make proper Christmas present for AT community.

Its sad that mostly everything to do with the tournys recently has been disappointing. Im really really hoping things improve!
