There was a sound outside just now, I have no idea what it was.

Ya, scout/primary tackle my usual thing. I do pretty good when I know I have a fleet coming in behind me. Its when there's not a fleet behind me that things usually go awry. I know I'm getting better with it all, plenty of time to practice it atm heh.

And room for a pod gantry? Because last I checked, no frigate comes with a way to get out of your pod in-ship.
Smaller stuff, like Slasher or Reaper, which are basically oversized fighters - sure. But in bigger frigates - think Astero - it's only about your ISK and wish for comfort.

Elmund Egivand gives a nice overview of a ship's anatomy here

I won't quote the entire wall of text here, but -

Do you actually think that a capsuleer won't customise his ship's internals? Us Sebiestor are particularly notorious for it, when given the resources to do so. My Clan is even more prone of doing it, considering that nearly everything mechanical in our Enclave is repurposed from our crash-landed Fenrir. Especially the water filtration systems, the power reactor, defense walls, gates and etc. I had plenty of practice.

Not to mention that Minmatar ships are minimalist by design, with very little in way of expert systems. This thus ensures that you can gut the thing, refurbish the ship architecture and cause no impact to ship performance

Seriously, think of wormholers and the dwellers of unsettled sectors of 0.0 who often stay undocked in their ships for months. And in frigates, too. Do you think that they swim in the same foul goo all that time? Have mercy.

TL:DR : If you can't find room for a place to decant in your frig or dessie, you aren't trying hard enough.

A lot of clones we used to know spent all their lives in pod. You may be surprised to know how many operators stay in pods for weeks and months. There is probably nothing interesting for 'em outside.

As far as we know, standart ships are not equiped with pod gantry and give no option to get out of pod in space. However, some customization may take place.

Some clones talk even about living rooms and greenhouses on their ships, which may be lies. Otherwise, it's just totally rеtаrdеd.

I tend to maintain sleeping quarters among the crew cabins on my ships (as I said, cruiser+), as well as a fairly well-appointed stateroom that has more living space than some apartments I've seen in Amarr, on Sinnebago... but then, she's a carrier, she's got space.
