New to dual boxing...tips

So I'm firing up a second account to help out on the missions. I run a Kronos and have a good solid tank setup for it, but need more DPS. I was thinking of just training up a second to use the Megathron sitting collecting dust in my hanger but I've been reading a lot about using a Domi for backup. I know I know Tengu Tengu Tengu. I like my Megathron looking boats and I'm not taking the time to skill train for the Tengu. I have no care for the logistic side either.

So in a nutshell...

Megathron class vs Domi class to back up my Kronos which is a better and why?

P.S. I run dual screen so Alt+Tab is not an issue.

Domi is better imo because you can use a rack of guns and then t2 sentry drones (assign to main pilot).

No need for a repper because combined with the Kronos you will **** everything so fast anyway. Plus just let the Kronos in first and it will have aggro. If you use a Navy Domi you get 1 extra midslot which you can use for a web, a TP or a tracking computer for example. Not to mention the increased tank.

Interesting. I'll have to check my skills and see if I can support a shield tanking Domi. I've never looked into the Sentery Drones well indepth really. I assume they deploy like normal, just are stationary. How does the assign feature work is what I'm curious about. (Like I said I've not looked into them more than what's on the market) Would that still allow my Kronos to deploy a squad of drones as well?

for dual box its better to use one tank and one pure DPS (even glass cannon ) - 2 tanker will be to slow

domi is EXCELENT as slow moving tank just with drones - you need other ship to pop all bigger than frigs ;p

I think two dps ships with decent tank is far more efficient than tank and drones and all of that. The less management the better. Two gun boats are good with maxxing out DPS, the best tank is dead rats.

Mega will work and if that does work can you rearrange your Kronos to get more DPS out of it with a little less tank? Something to think of.

I like how you think on this. Simple and effective. Stick with what I know without stretching too much or getting to flashy.

Yep and while your making the isk you can train up whatever you like. Perhaps work up to the Mach if you like gun boats it is the king of mission running as far as guns go anyway.

The assigning is simple, on the drone window you just right click "Assign -> Fleet -> Character name" or something like that anyway. I currently use a rattlesnake on my main which uses sentry drones and they rip through enemies like they are made of paper. I have a 60 day trial so I am thinking of training him up to use the same fit I posted just in T1 mode. 10 sentry drones + 4 cruise launchers + 5 turrets is going to absolutely destroy any mission I put these ships into.

It works with 2 Drakes. Kinda slow but training for better takes time..........

If you like the Mega, then buy yourself a nice shiny 1500dps Vindicator.
