Read in the recent Dev blog we can redeem one from a list of items....but sadly I'm stuck away from my client at the moment. Anyone care to clue me in as to what I have to look forward to when I get home today?

Read the dev blog again then.

It specifically says you can go into account management and pick your gift. (via the web page)

I'm interested in whether the neural remap option will be implemented as an item. I'm already sitting on 2 one of which will be a long per/will map that will be well over a year anyway. So it would be a lot more useful if I could store it my hangar until the day a <1 year map would be useful but I'm out of extra remaps.

Ahhh an excellent question. You used to be able to save remaps, but no longer. I agree, this would be much more useful if you can save up to use them later...

I'm also curious.. I have a remap coming up in about a month, if I claim the remap gift will i still get mine in a month? Does using it/not using it affect that?

If the past is any indicator, no. When they turned off the learning skills they gave us a remap. I had one due in 2 months and because I'd screwed up my main's first remap I was really looking forward to having a new chance at the 6 month turnover to get some core skills up. Unfortunately, I got my freebie when the switch happened...but never got the one I was then due later. Of course, those that already had one ended up with two.

Pretty damn disappointing, but that seems to be how they do things.

I meant, rather, that I would generate another map "naturally" before swapping out of per/will. I want to wait to put the remap on my character sheet until a few years down the road when I want to do a short map that will leave my remap timer on cooldown.

I got 3 remaps, don't care about min-maxing and don't want to lose my awesome (lack of) charisma
