Pilots find the photos of Galaxies amidst wreckage on occasion which they can sell to libraries on Stations. Analyzers then make bids on the items amongst the selection on hand, with options that reflect his/her confidence in the outcome and more than one chance per slide to see a return depending on how many objects are being considered.

Next, he or she will have to purchase the proper "probe" to launch at the different objects in the slides. For example, if the Pod Pilot feels that the object on the slide is a "Spiral Galaxy", he/she will launch a "Spiral Galaxy" probe of a quality that reflects his confidence. More expensive/detailed probes cost more, but can produce more profit. An "Anomaly Probe" could cost quite a bit.

Behind the scenes, the accuracy of the findings will be determined by consensus, and as a Pod Pilot finds him/herself among the consensus, his/her "consensus weight" will be increased via a standings mechanism. On top of that consensus, the findings could be scrutinized by dedicated team members and staff from Zooniverse or Jovian Space. Since this could take time, the pilot will have some excitement to look forward to, and perhaps there's betting involved or even Loyalty Points. Perhaps the Jovians require the information to be beamed to ships they have headed to the various sites, who knows who is really paying for this information....

The number of pilots per slide would need to be limited, as well as the number of slides per station, and the availability of the slide drops should be adjusted to allow for insertion into the economy.
