First I was going to write some boring stuff like "they let a bunch of small-time corp thieves in", but then realized that those didn't do noticeable damage anyway and they were, like, dissenters, and ALXVP tends to shelter all kinds of dissenters, and there's that inevitable moment when those dissenters start to dissent against you, so.

If dissention is the order, then dissention against the order of dissention should be... order?

...It's obvious that the worst thing the founders did is allowing the members too much unneeded freedom! People need proper herding and regular beatings to improve morale! Lack of 2am CTAs, no strict chain of command, no compulsory gas mining ops to finance PLEXes for the directorate, no public flagellations on Saturdays, no "one word in local and you're out" rule, no "must stay on voice at all times", this is ridiculous!

Down with this sort of thing!

Shittalking your superiors or raising mutinous clamor behind their backs is unprofessional and completely dishonorable. Raising respectful dissent (politely and thoughtfully criticizing policy, not attacking policymakers) in a public setting without trying to hide it from your superiors, and being ready to stand down with a word--this is how future policy is refined without limiting yourself to the purely top-down perspective that plagued... the CPD, for example.

Ah er... well, I suppose they could have spared themselves the hassle by doing just that, actually, instead of all that pomp.

But it would not be the Amarr Empire otherwise. Panem et circenses: it makes a lot of sense when you think about it that way.

Rixx welcomed a corp into the alliance about a year and a half ago whose leadership was comprised of old friends of his. They were good people, but their line members were dishonorable, divisive, and overall a detriment to the organization as a whole. He did the right thing and cut them loose. Good people with bad friends do not make good friends.

Every political entity is a screw up.

Every single one of them.

No exception.

Yes, this includes the Republic.

I declare no loyalties to entities, only causes, and only if led by a leader who has a good performance record or is demonstrating good leadership capabilities.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Stupidest? Sending a fleet into Gallantean Space.

Although my biggest greivence lies in the lack of economic reforms that the Republic as implemented. As happy as I am with the re-establishment of the tribal council and the office of the Sanmatar, we need more than just cultural revivals to strengthen the Republic.

While our warriors fight for our people's freedom, we in turn should fight for our people's prosperity.
