Greetings Pilots and Devs,

I had an idea that I've been knocking around on Facebook and thought I'd post it here and see who would like to see it happen.

A race from High Sec (Starting at a main Trade hub) out to Null Sec (probably the EVE Gate or somewhere else significant like the battle monument at B-R5RB)

Rules:
1. Frigates only - Toying with T1 only but open to any fit. Just to keep it as accessible as possible to newby and vets alike. (This also means no 'ceptors or cloaky frigs)
2. Checkpoints - Each pilot can choose their own path to get from A to B but to rule out jump clones and outside help (like cyno bridges) each pilot must stop at set stations and accept a contract for an item. The cost of each item is considered part of the entry fee.
3. Shooting each other is not only acceptable but encouraged! If you enter, expect to possibly lose your ship.
4. Winner gets the entry fees. Say the entry fee is 10 million ISK (2.5 million per contract/check point) and 400 pilots enter - that means that the winning pilot would get 4 Billion ISK!

I would like to see this take place in the universe at large. Not a cordoned off area. That means players would have to account for possible gate camps, ganks, ambushes, smartbombing Rohks, etc.. Just like any other null pilot.
I see this as a good way to get new people to explore Null sec and would love to hear suggestions from players and Devs alike.

And if CCP feels this would be a good Event to have on an annual basis - so much the better! It would mean bigger prizes for all involved and it would help control cheating.

Fly fast! o7
