Stuck on log in screen after today's update

So after today's small update the game is stuck on a black screen during startup, it goes through the loading screen but then it is stuck in this limbo black screen before the characters portraits are shown. I can use the options by pressing ESC but thats about it.
I've even used the repair tool but didnt help.

PS. my subscription ends in two days, is that a sign that I should quit?

Seems like the same thing is happening over in that thread. All sounds like the same issue. Shocked

So I tried again after few hours and it is working again somehow, it's either that the CCP staff fixed it for me or because I turned off the new probe scan feature from the options.

I think I've tried all of the possible solutions that have been forwarded here on the forums but to no avail. Its is only this character though, not my other two accounts that work seemingly fine.
I've done everything from emptying the cache, repair tool, rescache, turning new features off, reinstalling the client. The list goes on. Although, this toon works ok on the test server. Shocked
