Short release.

While doing routine scouting of a Drifter Hive system, we have discovered an unknown Sleeper device of massive dimensions, along with massive spatial distortions both above and below the structure, relative to the system's plane.

IKAME and the Consortium will be attempting a short-notice hive penetration sometime in the next few hours, pilot availability permitting.

Camera drone footage will follow, as will any additional information we're able to provide.

Interesting! I wonder what the purpose of this device might be, I've never seen anything like it.

I did a lot of weird and sketchy things during my time in the angels on the streets of Skarkon. One of the things we did was clear out rival gangs and those not paying their dues to the cartel. Given that corporate security ended where the city began, and the city had no real police force, in many ways we were the police. Okay that might be stretching it a bit, we were good natured thugs.

Anyway, one of the more interesting things I participated in was clear out a brothel that was rumored to be abusing its girls and wasn't paying tribute to the cartel. As the local thugs, we were sent in to shut them down. There were ten of us, and intel said there were at most, three pimps, pretty good odds for us in a fight.

They must have been tipped off that we were coming, because the place was barren when we arrived. We were kids, hot on our feet, pumping with adrenaline, and started opening doors and searching the place top to bottom. It was going pretty well until a buddy upstairs opened a bathroom door and walked into a face full of buckshot. And then those three pimps, all blasting away with assault weapons, came barreling down the stairs and we lost half the gang before anyone realize what was happening. Five kids, none older the twenty, all bled out in that sweltering hellhole because we decided to leap without looking. Don't be like them, be careful.

Some kind of dormant wormhole generator?

I was thinking that whatever that thing is doing it probably is doing it passively instead of actively, just like how our warp drives passively anchors our ships to space-time.

Though yes, I will like to see the footages. After I prepare myself with aspirin. The mind-boggling quantum thingamajig is going to give me a migraine.

Incredible pictures. I regret I was unable to assist in today's expedition but I will attempt to be available if you make more excursions there. This anomaly should be monitored.

For those of us in fleet, a certain expletive was uttered as each of us came into visual range of it.....

For myself, because the anomaly is above an below the structure, I at first though... Well, it is impressive.... Then I went to rotate the camera and uttered a curse involving vulgarity with a diety...

Here are some notes taken from the site.

Its arrangement apears random, almost like crystallization or fractal with some pieces out of place or incomplete measuring 132k radius for the longest one. The center ring measures approximately 20k in diameter enough for vessels to traverse it. The material apears to be some kind of supercharged alloy or some kind of energy conductor. The blue plasma field vortex on top and bottom allign with the centre of the structure and seems to be visible only once inside the field. Structure seems impervious to scans of any type including entosis link and it doesn't register on core nor combat probes. No drifter activity reported inside the field, seems abandoned and/or unfinished.

Huh. Sounds like an incomplete or disassembled jump gate/stabalized wormhole.
