did buy the 1 month offer from ccp to check out what is going on here in eve
what did i find so far?

  • well, a LOT of new skins
  • this makes the game much more awesome. Kind a like Dota 2...

  • Plex price is now at almost 1.2B (when i was a noob 2012 it was around 500M? so a new player has to work much harder if he/she wants to fund account ingame)

  • still no changes for black ops
  • well, i was dam stupid skilling that up to 5, wasnt i? good thin is now i v got a taxi licence

  • active players now the same as were in 2008
  • might be a good thing?

personal opinion (not relevant for your question)
@ ccp:
  • stop w8sting time and energy on skins. this is an awesome space game and should not turn into a fashion show
  • think about how to imply ships as intended in theys description. stupid players like me only read the description, not ask others how happy they are with theyr ship
  • sooner or later you should worry about plex price. sandbox is awesome, until it is empty..
.

i do hope i did miss n very awesome and new aspect of eve the last few days

I thought I posted here, I guess not or I missed the post... hrm...

To come back? What do you want to do?

Potentially good changes on the horizon and if us as a player base can find common grounds instead of pushing our own agenda , it would be a great game. Why does fozzie sov and such exist? Because we cannot come together as a community and find suggestions that would make us happy. So what if it is a "nerf" if it makes the game a challenge and thus more enjoyable?

Foz sov was an incomplete release. I personally think it is worth coming back with all the good stuff I have been hearing. Take this time to start up your own corp and alliance, just leave the past behind. New tactics, and let sov be more localized. If somebody won't let you hold sov, then at the least, wreck them. I am loving what I have seen over the past six months. The numbers don't mean anything.

Just leave the past behind, take advantage of what we got. Tons of good stuff unused because of longing for what wasn't sustainable.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

i'm fairly sure it takes 3 clicks with the button of a mouse to make a new set of skins, dont worry about it.

I think you should do this.

LOL, You're the funniest troll ever.

I may send you some of my stuff if CCP does the stupid thing with that SP trading scheme.

I personally took a semi-long break (6+ months) because I sort of burned out. Now I'm back in the game and loving every minute of it. So yes, come back and receive hugs (in the form of explosions and such :p ).

I never left.

Game has been and continues to be awesome-sauce.

Perhaps you need a new group to play with and not necessarily a new game.

I dunno about that, but it gives the art guys something easy to do while programmers are trying to unsnarl legacy code.

What do you find fun, and does EVE provide it? Those are the two big questions to answer.

I love improvement.

Fozzie SOV is a poor, shallow and dumbed down design at the core:

  • Waving a mining laser at structures is not satisfying.
  • You are unable to gear your ship to wave the wand faster for attack or defense
  • There is no real fleet impact, no real cost to benefit considerations.
  • Camping a gate while interceptors mess about is boring.
  • Those 100 people grinding a structure might have been bored but they provided an opportunity for combat.
  • Fozzie SOV is a griefer's paradise. "Who has the will to troll for SOV the longest?" (If they want the SOV and aren't just doing it for "lulz").

This sort of thing was apparent from the first dev blog and has not changed.

Tech 3 Destroyers have ruined the sub-cruiser Meta. They are over powered and you can just fly fleets of them and kill loads of other stuff.

There are some weird ideas floating around with:
- Capital changes some of which look like they could be good but others are narcotic pipe dreams.
- Stuffing a character full of skill points without much penalty. RL $ will mean way more. One of the best things about MMOs and levelling the playing field will be further degraded in EVE.
- Stuff about fleet warps and orbit changes. Basically, all the people who don't have kiddie twitch reflexes and could contribute in blob warfare as F1 monkeys will lose their place in EVE, probably not find another and will quit if all the CCP narcotic pipe dreams go ahead.

Actually, all you have to do is go and look for what, "Team Five 0," is planning or doing and that will probably make up your mind on whether you want to come back to EVE. Ugh **

** (Moderators, take note that I say this and I have linked to references and made considered thoughts about this. I am not just bashing mindlessly for the sake of it. I am giving constructive critism on where I believe there is a problem in development.
1. Loads of articles around Fozzie SOV.
2. Tech 3 Destroyers.
3. Capital changes.
4. Fozzie's ideas for fleet warps and orbits. et cetera.)

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

You should, as there are several fannies that need a good bashing.
