The Akatosh Initiative has been set up to address the lack of information and up to date intel regarding the circumstances surrounding the appearance of the Drifters. Our primary mission is to monitor and investigate all alien life forms that exist outside of New Eden's sphere of influence. Our research will focus on determining the ability of alien civilizations to assimilate into our society, as well as documenting and destroying those that are deemed a threat. We are currently hiring more staff and asking for the public's help in our investigations of these 3 alien races

  • Drifters (Dangerous, Hostile) Declared hostile for the illegal assassination of the Amarrian head of state, they have already shown that they are unwilling to respect the laws that govern the rest of New Eden. Until CONCORD deems the Drifters fit to join our society, we shall pursue our investigations into their history and technology very aggressively.

  • Sleepers (Dangerous, Defensive) A lot of research has been done on the Sleepers over the years, yet communications between our civilizations has not improved. Our primary objective is a more in depth assessment of their society and culture. To this end, we are attempting to access their virtual construct and are developing new technologies designed to bridge the communication gap and help open up dialogue between our civilizations.

  • Jovians (Unknown) Our main goal is to determine once and for all if the Jovian Empire still exists and what state it is in. With the strange things seen happening in Jovian space and reports of Sansha's Nation operating there, we simply can not allow that area to remain a blind spot in our defences any longer.

All information present here has already been established tenfold. This communication brings nothing new, gives us no answers or raises any questions. DED has already granted a classification to the Drifters and the Sleepers, and they are a much better authority on this matter.

This is counter-producent to the advancement of the scientific inquiry. The draught in answers is due to how the Drifter situation has stagnated and they have yet made their intentions known or show any signs of an increase in activity.

You are free to present you iniciative, but it would do you better to just lay down the basic structure of your approach to the problem and the scientific principles that will support your investigation. You divulged neither.

I took the liberty of including their Minmatar allies in your hypotetical destruction of the Federation, Commander. Hence two distinct quarters of the civilized cluster.

I'm sure our Amarr allies would object to the Minmatar complete obliteration, as they believe they can be still redeemed in the eyes of God. But when cornered, the Minmatar are formidable and willing to sacrifice everything, even their lives. Their destruction would be callous but justified, logical even, in regards to this scenario.

Mr. Hooli, feel free to join the 'Consortium Operations' channel. The Consortium is an organization that is currently engaging in a series of penetrations of Drifter Hives. We're always looking for more pilots.

You might find some of our research materials interesting. Included are a few samples for you to review.

As is the usual in the summit, hostility usurps understanding.

What Ka-Houli brings up is not uncommon. Those who have been in consortium, IKAME, Arek' Jalaan and Eve Scout communication channels of recent will know this is an issue I have had as well.

There is plenty of detailed and well considered discussions and reports, but they are so spread out and lost in the mess that is a public neocom, it cannot be found.

A static location repository of all this information is needed. Much of it answers questions I have had, some of it I am in disagreement with. Others have raised new questions. Overall, the past couple of weeks have been enlightening, but has been more than a hassle to find this information.

To those in IKAME, how much work had it been to gather all that information? Right now it is getting lost. How many more like myself had hunted for and been doing the same work already done? If not for Makoto's and others support, I never would have discovered their hard work. This is only after a few months. How will it be in a year?

Haven't they gone on record as to saying that you are also a lesser race(as with the Gallante) and must be reclaimed? Maybe I got it wrong but I doubt it...

It's an impolitic thing to say in mixed company, so they tend to downplay it.

Of course, what form that Reclaiming is supposed to take also depends on whom you ask. Some feel that the age of Reclaiming by the sword is well and truly over, and for good. Others want to bring it back.

(Even the most militant tend to assume that the Caldari will be Reclaimed peacefully, though.)

Just as a stray note, Drifters, Sleepers & Jovian are not alien. We are yet to discover a sentient alien lifeform, Drifters genetically belong to the Jovian branch of Humanity.

And as mentioned by others, several groups already have been looking into drifters for months now.
