To those who find this troubling... wait there was an update today? Meh. I was travelling all day. I got send to Detroit.

Where was I.... oh yes.

If you find this troubling, I suggest you stop treating Eve like a single player game and actually make some friends and perform your ganking with them. I hear the goons and CODE. do this.

(Sorry, couldn't resist).

Edit: they were very easy to stop for even a single AG, but a long setup for the ganker. I will always insist that CCP did this more to save gankers from the sort of Rube Goldberg methods that are more apt to give the game even more of an autist air.

And as far as freighters being "safer" - no. Freighters were AFKin through the gank pipeline before, during, and will continue to do so. I have convo'ed a lot of ganked freighter pilots and they don't care. They are so deep in ISK they factor in the loss. And believe me, it's frustrating trying to save an AFK freighter because the pilot can't respond to any assistance. Even I have to admit that running billions AFK means you deserve to get ganked. If it were up to me, the game would not have such a thing as autopilot.

As far as i understood, the future of hisec is still in the making.
Still under the premise that New Eden is a harsh dark place.

Meaning, that CCP will keep up possibilities to kill each others.
Most likely still without consent of both parties.

However the same rules that gankers tell their victims will apply to them.

Sologanking (aka hyperdunking) is removed.
Targets to big for one guy, need group actions.

I don't know who is crying harder. The hyper dunkers or the guy that's going to lose all that money on the excess freighters he has been selling because supposedly ganking them is impossible without hyper dunking.Roll

God forbid you have to go back to the old fashioned way of bringing plenty of alphaNados or BS. Oh the humanity ya need to more people to blow up a sitting duck. Question is who cries more the gankers or the carebears? My vote is on the gankers. Because you guys create megathreads full of rage everytime CCP nerfs or buffs something. Don't believe me. Just browse through the the C&P forums.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Yeah I know right? Because all the tears and threads over the last year which made CCP actually change the game mechanics do not count, because.. because.., well they just don't count!

For once I agree with you (just this once, promise).

Freighter ganking should be a group activity, and while I'll miss out on a lot of easy income with my buddies, Hyperdunking being removed doesn't anger me. However it is indicative of the trend of High Sec over the years.

Honestly dunking was both a broken mechanic but at the same time easy as hell to get out of.
Like someone else said logi, ( Hope they don't gank that logi) or more simply bump the mach out.

I have both participated in dunks and saved people from dunks. One solid bump or two on the bumper will let the freighter warp if he's smart enough to do so.

I have enjoyed different forms of HS ganking but it's honestly very unbalanced. There is no real risk for ganking. I hear the cry's of the gankers all the time about the Bears who cry to much. But realistically you have to admit HS ganking has a 0 risk factor.

The ganker dose not care about sec status, ship losses, or even if some White Knight gets a lucky pod kill on the ganker.
This toon I am posting from has ganked at least 7 or 8 indy's and I think i went from a 5.0 to maybe a 3.0 sec status and this is an Indy toon. Those ganks profited around 2 billion or so in loot. I lost maybe 60 mill in ships. I made a gank alt that took a long time to get down to a - 5.

I think the real issue is that there is both no financial or access balance to the act of suicide ganking and believe the poor attempt of removing this one mechanic only promotes larger groups to hold a monopoly on something that for a while was capable by smaller entities. It also shows CCP yet again back stepping.

As most of any experience knows, a majority of ganks can be avoided, and I agree that the Bears should have to pay attention to their game while piloting and not just blindly automate across New Eden.

That being said, there should be a better balance to HS combat mechanics or just be rid of them all together. As of now I see them as being overly complicated for your newer pilots to grasp and give them a false sense of security. That in turn makes them complacent when learning to hone their piloting skills.

The above post makes no sense, they shouldn't just blindly automate and should have to pay attention BUT remove HS combat mechanics?

Can I have some of what your having?

You mean brain?
Not the brightest crayon in the box now, are we?

Ganking has no risk for the ganker.
Gankers insist that carebear victims accept risk, but cry when their own risk levels are increased.
You will need more effort than just jumping into station and blar "i can not be station camped..."!

You understand, that CCP also will make changes that those stationgames will not work anymore?

Because using 'broadcast for reps' as a way of saying "mmm ganker tears, you crying bro? you sound sad" just screams 'intelligent.' You're a troll with nothing worth responding to.

It's a low none of us would go anywhere near.

Johng, care to explain the inconsistencies in your position? Seems fairly mutually exclusive to me.

It is a kind of low, that *you* have to climb up to.
Is it possiible, that you really have no idea what your appearance is to other ppl?
So you can not handle my arguments you call for your buddies?

*broad smile*
Not so much conversation.
More like rivers of tears for actual and future changes.
There is no need for me to be angry, i got my wishes.
So no "calm down miner" or other code-bullshit-bingo.

You ppl on the other side get shown who holds the hammer.
Its no "Jimmy and his delirious toons", it is CCP.

And CCP likes discussions more than just whining and swearing over carebears.
Or dumb ramblings about "risk averse pilots".

You can close your eyes to all arguments.
Your friends will tell you what stuff other ppl discussed and what was taken over by CCP.
