Even after some fix up patches this patch is still a bit of a smelly mess !!

First time I logged in my whole ship and pod seemed to not exist so the camera focus was very unusual ... made for some cool screen shots (finally got to see the hanger ceiling!). lucky it was a one off issues easy fixed with a change of ship.

Logging on my Character selection page tells me I have some Skill completed and 11Days 22 hrs on the current skill.
On my Skill Training Queue I actually have 1Day 15 Hrs left on my current skill and the only ones completed were 11 days ago !
Next skill in the Queue that it thinks I am training is 16days and 15 hrs in total time so i guess maybe it's still thinking that those Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerators are still in operation even tho my last one expired before the patch Blink

Also that Probe scanner window showing the System signatures is UGLY !!
Green underline .... what kind of design school fail is that ?!
Surely there were some better options if there were so many people having trouble with the White on Green text from the old system ? Maybe the an option to select colour setting that work better for you like the colour themes ?

Mining crystals (and from some limited use general laser crystals) seem to die much faster now than pre patch yet I don't see anything relating to this in the patch notes apart from having damage shown as a % which was the case on mining crystals anyway. Now they seem to take 3 or 5% damage almost every time a roid pops !

Great work on getting the boosting to work again now tho.

1. I think it would be nice to have some sort of way to differentiate anoms and signatures in the probe scanner window. Typically I Just filter anoms and that works, but I wouldn't mind seeing them.

2. if I launch a pinpoint formation and hit scan I think it should center on where I launched the probes, and not the sun.

I miss the checkbox "use overview settings" on directional scanner. I must now scroll up/down the list to chose "all" if I want to stop using a filter. It is quite useful once your start reducing the angle on the directional scanner as i keep my 360 "clean" and my 5 degrees typically unfiltered for max intel.

Can we get it back please?

Also, I miss the highlight effect on scan probe results when they got placed within scan sphere range. It helped a bit when trying to visualize a 3d image using a 2d screen :)

Keep up the good work!

I am concerned about many of the recent changes and ideas. My presumption is that inflation, due to several of those changes, will go through the roof, which in turn means that newbro's, unless they invest PLEX into the game, will not be able to do anything (let alone buy that SP). The ever increasing volume of the Aurum store, the romours about the removal of Sansha incursions from highsec in favour of Drifter incursions. The introduction of Citadels puts a greater emphasis on both heavy SP toon, and on supers/titans in general. Even the interventions CCP DOES do on the PLEX prices seem to point in the same direction. All of this combined with the fact that those silly Goons keep sticking together which results in no major nullsec wars means that older players will leave, the influx of new players will decrease, and EVE will die. And the way i see it, CCP isn't doing anything to counter that at this time.

Therefor, i feel like i must unsub my accounts and keep watching EVE from a small distance. If i feel like CCP is once again actively attempting to keep EVE alive, i will return.

Not so much dying as already dead as far as Warfare is concerned, and it's not the Imperiums resilience either that's caused it, CCP homogenized the EVE universe this reduced any impetus to go fight for any particular space, No point really when it's exactly the same as you already have, CCP then nailed the parties in place with fatigue and jump nerf's, Over all result no one wants to go fight anyone and even if they did getting there is such a pita these days Alliances really don't want to do it.

As for there idea that small Alliances might creep into the vacuum of empty space between the once Waring factions, Well as has been previously mentioned the only space available is pure garbage and if they choose to take it and make a pest of themselves they will rightly expect to get swatted.

CCP killed EVE as far as Alliance warfare went and along with the multitude of other Nerf's they have introduced they have done there best to kill the community and all this has so far achieved is massive player base reductions and lower player content satisfaction, Way to go CCP.

Huge +1 on the dscan and probing changes! So much better in my noob opinion. A huge improvement. Dscan makes sense to me now and I love all the hotkeys. Thanks

Hi,

The new scanner is great. There's just one problem I have with it. It seems that celestial icons on the new probe scanner map take event/interaction precedence over the cube found at the center of the probes. This results in being unable to use the faces of the cube to move around all the probes simultaneously if the probes (and thus the cube) are centered on a celestial. When the cube (and thus the probes) are centered on a celestial, trying to highlight the face of the cube results in you selecting / hovering / clicking on the celestial icons. The result is that you have to use the arrows, which only allow for 1-dimensional movement of the probes, to get the probes off of the celestial before you can move the probes in a 2-dimensional fashion by clicking and dragging using the faces of the cube in the center of the probes.

Thanks and God Bless.

  • The API no longer makes any attempt to fake the quantity of materials being stolen by siphon units.
The original purpose of Siphons was to provide individuals a means to disrupt passive isk generation, and the API not passing on info about the decline in moongoo harvesting was a good part of the package. I believe this change is a quality of life boon to moon farmers who monitor the API, favoring them over less-connected players who will only discover siphons when they visit their POS.
To balance the have's and have-nots of the API world, I think CCP should take one step further, and provide a one-time in-game Notification, similar to a POS under attack, when a siphon is in operation.

New probe scanner map does not highlight current (double-clicked) signature like an old one.

Also, when I set map filter to 'My fleet members' I can barely see solar systems where they are located.
These systems are highlighted, but we need a much more bright colors to actually see it.

Filter out all entities (upper left corner of the window). I don't understand why this feature is not backward-compatible with the old map.

If so, I doubt it will remain permanent nor do I think it is ccp's goal. I'd expect changes if we don't see enough sov fights. As for now, why not look for content where it is most available? When sov is homogenized as you say and it's residents only resort to fattening wallets, this means happy hunting grounds for wh corps like ours when looking for juicy Ishtars or carriers. Better yet, our expected targets get rustier at pvp as well.

Overview icons could still use some work. I notice that a player cruiser still looks similar enough to a Large Collidable Object to render the overview less than useful for watching out for players, as an example. A color other than white for players could help.

Hi, with all due respect for something that does look quite pretty. This is not the area of the game that you should be using as a marketing tool.

The more convoluted the scanning map gets, the further from a usable system it becomes.

When is the last time you opened any map from Google to a physical map and expected distracting sparkles?

Sadly, although I am quit happy with the fact, the more basic and wire frame the scanning map is, the easier it is to see what you are doing.

There is no need for animation for a red sphere or excessively distracting probes that get in the way of clearly seeing the signature dot.

All changes to the visuals of the probe map directly reduces its functionality.

Please stop this or at very least, never remove the option to turn it off.

Thanks for reading,
Moloney.

There really, really, needs to be an option to turn off the "cosmic signature" tool tips when mousing over one, it steals your cursor and makes moving your probes very difficult. After about 5 seconds of using the probe scanner, everyone's gonna figure out that all the red dots are cosmic signatures. Once we move our probes over a cosmic signature, the red dot steals the control of your mouse cursor and you can no longer adjust your probes using the cube in the middle.

Also, why was the crosshair cursor removed from the probe scanner? It was better than a pointer in my opinion.

Also, can an option be made to use just one of the new scanners? A few of my corp members like the new d-scan, but not the probe scan.... but you can't use one without the other.

Would a customisable delay on the tooltips serve equally well here?

Right now there is no option to use one new scanner and not the other. The old systems will be removed in an upcoming release, so we will not be adding in further opt-in/opt-out options relating to the new system at this time.

Please don't remove the old system, the new probe scanner is so distracting and so much less clear it is giving me a headache ache.

How am I going to play in wormholes when I get a migraine from scanning?

The hotkey for the old D-scanner does not work since the new one has been implemented. I prefer the old D-scanner and would like it if the hotkey would still work. It does work for the new one.

EVE overall seems to have much more lag.

Getting FPS drops every time I alt-tab in and out of EVE. The longer I've been alt-tabbed out of eve the longer FPS stays around a choppy cruddy 30 FPS.

Hope these issues can be fixed in the near future.
