Hello Space Friends,

I would like to apply for this Focus Group, as one of the primary FC's for the AUTZ for Pandmic Legion. I had probably one of the first 10 Supercarriers ever, and in the top 100 titans. I use capital ships in a multitude of situations, from drops, to POS grinding, to Sov Mining. As someone who has in the past who actively used an AoE DD in the past, and solo mothership farmed an entire region during my time in Merceanry Coaltion. I am well versed in most if not all uses of capital ships currently and I feel that I would be able to provide a unique perspective (of essentially the pre to post DT shift (AUTZ#1 (GMT+10) and how that will affect the uses of these ships.

I have also in the past been heavy involved in their construction and sales.

Thanks for considering me.

Guess I'll toss my hat in the ring as well, I only really have capital experience in wormholes and small gangs.

Hello TEAM. I would very much like to be part of this capital focus group. On Oleena Natiras, I am currently both the most active pvp titan and the deadliest pvp titan in the game. you know, after you nerfed all the titans. I've done pretty much everything you can do with a Titan; DD'd friendlies, solo-camped undocks, solo camped gates, Fought 50 MOA by myself, died, jumped instead of bridging - the works! I'm also an FC for a group that is known for using and moving capitals, especially coming up with inventive and out-of-the-box ways to use them.

Oh, I caused Asakai with that very titan pilot.

I think if you want titans to work, you need me <3

Hello I'd like to throw my hat in this as well. As one of the behind the scenes guy of a large growing alliance with quite a few caps, supercaps and titans but nowhere near as much as 90% the amount of the other guys have here in this thread. I feel I would bring the little guys perspective on this topic, a good balance, versus the status quo from the mainstream users of such toys. I've flown with many of these guys in this thread but I've also commanded and flown with what would be considered scrub tier groups as well in a very high risk dangerzone experiences. My goal is making capitals great again..useful, fun, fair/balanced for all players

I also have insight in construction and sales of caps all the way to titans.

Please consider me to the group. TIA

Hey I would love to be apart of this focus group.

I feel I can give insight into how any changes may affect wormholers in PvP and PvE.

Hey,

For the better part of the last 3 years i have made it my goal to fly dreads against players at every chance given. Going from the Black Legion suicide dread fleets to 7bil logoff trap naglfars in wspace. A majority of my experience is around dreads. I have flown all other capitals as well, but in the future the focal point is going to be over dreads and titans decimating enemy capital fleets with guns and super weapons. Having someone like me providing the true voice for dreads will be an invaluable asset.

The proposed changes are definitely moving in the right direction, and the most important thing is iteration and additional mechanics. This is all unknown territory, but a lack of slowcats reps and a whole lot of dread DPS means a whole lot of fun.

There are quite a few folks here who have demonstrably better reputations for throwing around Capital and Supercapital ships than I do. It seems like half of PL has volunteered (no surprise there). I look forward to seeing some more of the Low Sec, WH, and NPC 0.0 Capital and Capital killer crowd volunteer.

As for me, I've been flying Capital ships since early 2008, mostly as a member of smaller corporation fleets, but occasionally with larger coalition fleets. I have a lot of experience flying Dreadnoughts and Carriers in all scales of combat. I've owned a Titan for several years, but only rarely have the opportunity to employ it offensively, but I'm always looking for opportunities. Unlike some, due to geography I have not consistently had the luxury of having others come bail me out if I got into trouble with it. For what it's worth, I also have a Jump Freighter and have flown a Rorqual (although I do not own one at the moment).

In short, I'm an experienced, reasonable, and articulate Capital ship pilot who could make a contribution to this group.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Yeah yeah, so I realize that this thread is going to be overrun by PL and you probaly dont want to be perceived as favouring one allaince over another. But im going to add my name to the list ....

- I run multiple capital accounts. Both titans and supers as well as carriers and dreads. Oh yeah, and I have the corp rorqual too !
- Im the XO of Body Count, one of the oldest corporations in game and founders of the original Mercenary Coalition. Please feel free to count the number of supers owned by our corporation.
- Im an 8 year bitter vet with a seriously active killboard across all my accounts.
- I fall well above the average age of the Eve Player base.
- Im a professional software engineer specialising in real time systems so I know the basics of the limitations and abilities of the Eve server and client software.
- Im a Kiwi who just took great delight on winning a bunch of Isk from Bam Stroker (sorry Bro, love you really) on a certain Rugby Match. But I promise never to mention it again. In reality Im actually active in the US Timezone, but available on Slack during the US working day.

Thanks

Not enough WH reps in here.

Capitals are of significant interest to me, I spend a lot of my time in the hunt for capitals and that's probably my most defining gameplay.

The influence of these changes over the high class WH PVP and PVE meta is huge, and I would like CCP to make sure wormholers get their voice heard.

I'd like to join as a wormhole rep. I have flown dreads and carriers in most every wormhole situations, and FC'd small and medium amounts of caps and medium-large cruiser gangs fighting caps and supported caps. I also know a lot of experienced wormhole pilots to get input from.

I own small capital fleet of my own , have 5 pilots having JDC V.
Want to have capitals used more often , like allowing them to enter all lvl 4 lowsec , and nullsec missions (aka i also want to lose a ratting carrier).
Goal should be making carriers and dreads more appealing to day to day duties.
I love revelations, and i don't understand why CCP hate them.

Capitals should have bigger range of jump drives , but only way they can cross between regions is by using regional gates.

I am interested to participate to this Capital Focus group.

I am a beginner capital pilot. The only experience I have so far is building my very own first carrier, and using it in WH to rat sleepers anomalies.
I have flown in many fleets involving capitals as support, and participated to kill a few.

I would bring the perspective of a player that has mostly been subcap pilot so far and want to be able to use Capitals without necessarily having to be part of larger groups or fleets.

I am interested in joining this focus group.

I am a game designer/computer programmer in RL, I have a fair amount of experience in small gang capital warfare, and I have extensive knowledge and experience in all of the inter-locking mechanics in Eve as I have dabbled in all of them personally.

I too would like to help out with the focus group.

Who am I? I am one of the biggest capital builders in game. I can create half a capital fleet in a weeks time if needed. I have build every capital there is except 2 jump freighters, but we'll get to those eventually. I have flown every capital there is(Ive sat in a Revenant befor I sold it, that counts!). I have 9 capital pilots who all own a dread and/or carrier each and I have 2 titans and 1 supercarrier.

I used to fling about freighters like they where jump freighters with my titan befor phoebe. Ive horrible lost a carrier or 2 by beeing stupid. I double sieged on a tower and got left behind by my entire fleet once, Thanks FC, still managed to survive heh. Ive done the whole jump instead of bridging and bridging instead of jumping with my titan.

I used to love that I could get my titan from deklein to delve in 15 minuts, but I totally agree that wasnt good for the game. I like the idea of jump fatigue but it needs some more iterations so we can all be happy about it. Looking forward to the new capital changes and how they will shake up Eve.

i'll apply

i don't really have experience in the same way as most people in the thread have

my experience is more in very small scale keeping your capitals alive vs overwhelming numbers, fcing capitals for pizza

i've moved titans through hostile space, i've dropped dreads against the goonies and escaped
source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfoSU2xugm8

i've spent a lot of time fighting against balled up capitals and thinking about how to outmanoeuvre them

i helped set up the trap and cyno'd in the bl dread fleet for the test capital massacre in PR- which you can read about here
source: https://www.themittani.com/news/black-legion-destroys-test-capital-fleet

i have a lot of experience tackling capitals and staying alive

i caught and killed a carrier a day in the carrier-a-day program of pizza june/july 2013, where we utilized covert cynos and other underhanded tactics to overcome the capital menace
source: http://pizza.eve-kill.net/?a=alliance_detail&all_id=7121&m=7&y=2013&view=kills&scl_id=27

i escaped certain death in aridia when my titan was in system with a lot of hics and probes

i have never lost a capital

i was probably the first person in the game to t2 hyperspatial rig my titan

i pretty much solo'd a nyx in a sabre

On behalf of the massive silent minority of this game who are not forum warriors or trolls, or even class themselves as bitter, I'd like to put myself forward.

In 2004 my wife got a baby, I got EVE. I honestly think I still got the best deal (love ma boy, but EVE never talks back!), my first carrier in 2005 and with alts moved up to super. Never been an "alliance" player so never got the funding for a titan and after my experience of super, don't really want one.

But I remember (see I am that old) freighter ops moving from Jita, through low sec to deepest darkest null sec. No one liked it, but then there was no other way. I bought a rorqual as that was the only way to pick up your moon goo easily I remember Cyno's going up on a POS a titan putting its AoE through to see if corps had passwords set on shields (Yeah you could have shields up without passwords, and the Doomsday would get through it).

I was on the second titan kill in EVE - fountain core, but in those days you only had 12 people on the mail and the poor dictor pilot who got their first didn't make the mail (ME)>

I remember seeing the first MOM shutdown systems, as no one could counter it (thank you heavy dics).

I've seen people hot drop me solo fighting a drake me in a cyclone, for the drake to light a cyno and in come 2 carriers (funny thing were both archons, I never did find out if the drake was armor tanked) and watch them leave without even picking up ma loot.

I've seen the problems with lack of super game play at the moment. I understand the frustration of having a super and putting it on a sitting toon and just waiting for the sub to expire, cause what use is a super at present but a fantastic killmail to someone else.

I'm keen, I'm old and I love EVE (3 fanfest, numerous get togethers, and 1 silver AT medal (AT V best AT)).

I'd bring experience but also not a defined view. I remember (see again, old), people complaining about OP battleships were, that only a few could afford them.. and so on. Adapt or die and harden the fook up.

We got to find a reason to put your super in the field, I want to see them used in escalation, I want to see niche modes for capitals (Love the idea of logisitcs capitals - why not, we have logistics everything else). I want people to log in, have fun, not just those that can afford these "supers" but those who club together. 50 rifters tackling a super sounds awesome, but the super needs the ability to counter.... You know one of those rifters will have a cyno, and in comes 10 other supers... not really exciting game play for anyone.

All in All, for 11 years I've logged into one game, I love this game, I love nearly every aspect. One part I've not always loved is capitals.... I'd like to make sure in the future we can have fun with them, but also keep that adrenaline rush every time you *undock/login one!

Aloha. I think I will be a key voice in this focus group.

"But Ulth," you say, "Although you are devilishly handsome and have a voice like sweet onions and portobello mushrooms caramelized in butter, you don't have any caps. Why would you be key in a Capital focus group?"

An excellent question, friend. Allow me to elaborate.

  1. I'm not a capital pilot yet but I could aspire to be one, if the changes seem cool enough. Why is that important? Because EVE has a problem, and that problem is player retention. Capital changes alone aren't going to solve that, but having a big shiny hunk of awesome is a powerful motivator. Think of the cap changes like food. However technically balanced the ships are (the gaming equivalent of tofu), if it doesn't look engaging and radical (like pizza) you're going to get far less buy-in from a bunch of relative newbies. And newbie buy-in means subscriptions.
  2. I'm mostly a PvE guy. A lot of these changes revealed at EVE Vegas seem PvP related. And that's great, but Vegas also revealed that at least half of EVE players are a "silent majority" of social/entrepreneur-style players for whom PvP might not be the first concern. Now, I'm anything but silent, but I understand the need for EVE to keep its PvE game healthy and robust. Capital changes alone won't fix all of the game's myriad PvE problems, but they will be an important indication of a healthier PvE ecosystem overall.
  3. Did I mention I'm devilishly handsome?

Clearly, I'm your guy.

Hi hello I'm supercapital FC Farasoloni!

First of all I think it's great you guys move to focus groups over just asking the CSM where maybe 3 dudes know about a specific matter in detail. If you chose a balanced group that has dudes from various aspects of the game I think you'll get very good input, much better than the CSM could. Feeling somewhat smug over it since I suggest that not long ago B)

You should pick me because I have aquired vast experience with capitals over my time of playing eve. I've been on both sides of the fence; the underpowered dudes that fought cap blobs (but pretty successful at that) and I'm currently in a cap blob. I've done everything from triaging, fishing, scout titan, ghostriding, blobbing, titanbowling, login ewarp bumping and so on in 0.0/lowsec mainly as the FC or other highly involved nerd.

I think this gonna be sick.
