How do you get the launcher to close once the game is up (like the old one did)?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. When I die, all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

You ask me nicely to add that feature :) That is to say, it hasn't been implemented yet.

That seems reasonably fair. Can you please add that feature CCP Snorlax?

As far as I know - it already has that option - check your preference/settings window.

Hi.
I tried beta client on iMac with 2 monitors.
main monitor has a resolution of 2560x1440 and second monitor is 1920x1080.

It is impossible to run 2 clients in full screen mode on two displays.
On MAC client is impossible to choose which display to use on client settings.

I also tried to open two window mode clients, move second one on second display and to change to fullscreen mode but both clients run in fullscreen on first monitor only.

How could I to run two clients in full screen mode even with beta or regular client with its clone client as second?

When I run standard client and its clone on full screen and I pass with alt tab between clients it cashes very often.

So I am looking for a suggestion how to run two clients on two different monitors like told above.

Thanks.
bye.

I am going to attempt to help ---

First and foremost - it is from my personal view EVE in window mode is always the best and safest way to play on Mac.

--- I was going to make a list --- then realized I need to check something out once I get home to see if it works.
I also run two screens, but mine are both 1080.

I keep having a lot of trouble with logging in multiple clients. With and without the multilaunch. It's always a partial load and then black screen, sometimes have to force quit the client. The hard part is its not always standard. Logging in two or three it changes how man I can do, though havent gotten to four yet (I have done it before).

Can you start four clients if you do it one by one, waiting for the character selection screen to show up before starting the next?

I'm not suggesting that as a solution, but as a way to help us pin down the problem (and a possible workaround until we fix the issue).

Could anyone shed any insight into what the "Run Game on DirectX 9" option has on game performance and/or graphics? (if any) Thanks.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

On the Mac, the client always runs under DX9. It was an oversight having that option available for Mac.

Appreciated, thanks. Will we have the option for DX11 at some point in the future?

Just so you know, last night I ran three clients at once, using the "one at a time" method for starting them. It worked.

However, I did get one issue: Micro-freezes. These are short, 5 to 20 second freezes. The entire computer freezes, except you can move the mouse. After the freeze ends, many times the ship of the front-most client will be flying off in a random direction.

I can't remember if it was CCP Snorlax or CCP Sledgehammer - I asked about it, and they said that DX 11 is in the works for Mac, but there is no timeline.

Sorry to be a bit of a noob CCP Snorlax but as I'm a bit new to the Beta Launcher, would you mind explaining what the four options available under the settings menu do. Specifically:

• Run clients with logging
• Download everything
• Run game on DirectX 9
• Minimise to tray when I click the 'close' button

For what it's worth Amarisen Gream, I did look under the settings and I don't think it does have the option to close once the game is up.

negative.

I have tried doing it at the start up screen, and after the previous client is fully logged in.

to further test it, I opened up 2 clients successfully, logged them in entirely, and the 3rd client did blackscreen. I left the black screen open, and closed one of the working clients. I attempted to log in another (or the same account, tried both) and got blackscreen. I tried again with one blackscreen and zero working clients, and logging in a second one after the first blackscreen, results in more.

As far as i can tell, having 1 blackscreen client, regardless of the others, results in more failed logins.

Oh, and sometimes the loading bulk data and related messages do or do not show up. Seen no pattern to that yet. Also, every client can show the "Resource Loading" circle on the bottom left, although it is inactive (i already have launcher set to download everything.

For the most part, I use indivual login buttons as well. I only used it a couple times, since I don't know how long the login takes that time (anywhere from 30sec-1min at best geuss).

Yeah, I got home and took a look at the settings

1: means that you are/should be sending logs back to CCP about the game's run processes and crashes
2: means you download all game data, as the default is LOD (load on demand). Say you live in a WH, bought a new computer, installed EVE - under the download everything you would lottery down load everything, but in the load on demand you would only install and download the data/assets related to your WH (LOD allows you to have an instal footprint of like 8-15 GB, while the entire EVE client is closer to 25-30gb)
3: is an option that doesn't exist on Mac, as we only have DX 9
4: from what I can tell - it is like when you close a safari window - the app still runs - but there is no window, but in this case instead of killing the window, you just minimize to dock.

On my former attempt, I had the minimize option confused with the old launchers close

While the beta launcher is working better I still have issues.
My bookmarks and settings did not carry over with me, despite the fact that I selected for them to be used.
In one character the browser window opens, but does not function, in others it just freezes the game and I have to exit.

Is there a work around for the IGB and is there a way to find the old bm's and manually move them to be able to use them again?
Not being able to use certain browser based app's cripples my play with my characters.
Thanks for your efforts!

IGB - this forum, page six, post 117.

Your BMs should be stored server side - not client.

They are gone for all of my characters.

I would suggest - bug report.

Hang on - are you talking IGB BMs or space BMs. If ether - I am going to plead the 10th for being super tired.

If they are IGB BMs, then those are client side - I will find the link for you once I get home. Edit: as I hotspot my computer and my high speed data is run dry, I can't get in EVE to test something.
But it would be near the same as the one posted by Snorlax.

I don't know if I am right
EDITED Dec 13th 2015 @ 1301 EVE time.

As I have been able to do some testing - To restore your IGM BMs please follow

1: Menu bar > go > (hold option) Library > Appliaction support > EVE Online > P_drive > local settings > Application Data > CCP > EVE
(Long visual cue http://prntscr.com/9dmsg7)

2: Once you are in the EVE folder - you will/should see a bunch of files and folders. The link should provide a visual cue.
--- http://prntscr.com/9dmpqk ---

3: The folder c_program... if you open that go > settings > browser > copy all the files there.
4: Go back to the EVE folder where you see the different server folders > open the c_tq_tranquility > (pick the settings folder your character uses) > Browser > Paste files.

For those of you who are having issues importing your settings - The same path way works as well. But once you enter the settings folder if you copy all the files that start with "core_char_" and "core_user_" and then paste them in to the new settings folder, you will have all your settings restored.
