Got to thinking, we could use some BCA Skins for our ships. could only be 30 days or whatever for February/October. Would be really cool. :3

Because the many phallic shaped ships in EvE really need pink skins? Really?

This is quite literally a ******** reason not to support breast cancer awareness. Don't blame everyone else for your dirty mind.

I noble proposal but I would rather not have modern day logos in my futuristic sci fi game.

Not to be dismissive of a real disease but who on this earth is not aware of breast cancer now?

This post brought to you by CCP's alpha forum alt initiative. Playing the eve forums has never come cheaper.

Why not just do a plex for good....and keep the skins elsewhere. Or do a day where skin purchases contribute $1 to the cause, I've not bought any skins, but I would do so on a day like that.

All more elegant ways to support causes.

Of course, there is the minor issue of...you know...opening the flood gates.

Plus the lore guys would have a conniption fit.

Yes breat cancer is a real problem and yes it has touched my life through the loss of several members of my extended family. Even so I have to ask.

Why only Breast Cancer Awareness when there are quite literally thousands of worthy causes that we could apply this idea to.

How does CCP choose which of these causes to support with in game skins?

Do we have to buy these skins with cash so CCP can make donations to these charities or would these simply be things we put on our ships because?

I guess the ultimate is considering the art and dev time needed to implement skins is this something we really want them to do?

How about all of you who want to make a donation for breast cancer just go do a donation for breast cancer and be done with it instead of asking for others, in this case a game developing company, to "enable" your donation by giving you stuff in return? Can't you all just donate? Do you really need to be handed something back for your donation or do you have the backbone of just actually donating and not expect something out of it directly for you?

No kidding and considering there are other forms of cancer that are even worse in that if you get them, you might as well start trying out coffins. For example, there is a type of skin cancer that is very deadly. Bowel cancer, by the time most people find out, too late. Another is ovarian cancer.

Well yes...but then how would we know that they did something good?

They could always donate through something that already provide a positive feedback to them instead of asking another 3rd party to crate a drive for it.

Oh look. Someone is on a soapbox. And to hell with anyone who doesn't see eye-to-eye with their proposal... because the idea and the cause are one and the same and you are all bad people for not being serious enough about this in a game where murder and wonton property damage is an everyday occurance.

Go make a donation on the Breast Cancer donation page. I'm here to play a game of immortal space clones. Not be reminded of the horrors and limitations of reality (which I deal with enough on a day to day basis thankyouverymuch).

The whole point of visible campaigns is to spread awareness beyond people who make donations.

Anyone who doesn't want their Talos to have a tash during Movember is wrong and probably hurts kittens.

Who the hell isn't already aware of all that in EVE? Who will it raise awareness to?

I was being somewhat sarcastic, that they are advertising their "good deed" which renders it rather tacky.

Woodland/Desert MARPAT. Digi or old-school, either works for me.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
