Out of Pod Experience

So i was at eve vegas, and ccp was selling there eve watch, which is basically an Icelandic crafted watch with an eve face on it for $300. The price dropped some the last day and i was tempted to buy it, but then thought that maybe a smart watch with my own custom face would do me better.

Anyway, nuff rambling, i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Gear S2 or any other smart watch and if you have found them to be useful? And how do you like them?

I'm basically researching, and i have ideas for eve related app's i'd look into having made for it, but i want to know if others find them useful.
