Nullsec first impressions

This is a followup to this thread. I had asked for stuff to try out for a nullsec newbie, and I got pointed towards a stealthbomber. So I got Black Frog to send out a bunch of spare ships n fittings to a 0.0 station and took my first one out for a trip this afternoon. Some things I saw/noticed

- a fight between an Agony Unleashed stealth bomber and two other guys, think it was a fleet issue stabber and a vaga.
- a 20ish battlecruiser fleet(hurricanes are popular out here I guess?) that jumped in system right after I did.
- a large number of completely empty systems. Seems it wouldn't be too difficult to pve in peace and dock up if someone does enter local.
-I've a new respect for people who can track others using Dscan, it feels quite difficult.
-there were no gate camps, and only 1 midwarp bubble.
-there were a few beacons with 2-3 rats at them, abandoned research stations and such. Are these just crappy anomalies that you don't need to scan for?
-A nullsec incursion that afaik no one was especially interested in running, judging by the influence bar and empty sites.
-it was a novelty seeing BS level rats at belts and gates, but ultimately its not anything different to highsec level 4s. Are those Sansha gate rats as obnoxious as I suspect they'd be to anyone not in a fast warping or cloaky ship passing through?
-the market seems quite undeveloped, if I was a trader type person I'd wonder if there's opportunity for good profits out there.
-Veldspar roids in the belts are bloody massive.
-the idea of being able to shoot at whoever you want without any major consequences is pretty cool.

I definitely think the place has a lot to offer if you've got a corp to fly with. And with the proper skills a stealth bomber seems the ideal solo pvp and maybe pve tool to work with. But I'd love to see it get
-more unique things. Anomalies from what I understand are just level 4 missions that other people can scan down more easily. I'll try and have a look for some signatures next time, maybe those are more common and interesting.
-better pve payouts. There's a lot of stuff to give up on to live out here. But I get the impression I'd barely be turning a profit out in null, so I'd have to subsidise it with highsec earnings.

yes, there is a lot one can do. I would like to have done more myself, but the day-to-day in null kind of wears on you. More accurately, on me. I didn't really enjoy it myself, but that doesn't mean other pilots don't. I definately enjoyed exploration more in null sec. there were some more interesting sites and better loot than High sec or low sec. I would love to see exploration get a little attention to keep it fresh, but that's a low priority.

Sounds like you had a good trip down there. Thumbs up!

Nice post

My impressions for solo

-warping to book mark then scan gate for activity then warp then jump. It does get tedious but you have to do it

-All sites are scanned out everywhere and its all anyone does. No one 100% single exploration sites are avoided so are belts. You can enter system and warp right on top of them

-everyone and his mother will try to scan you down to the point of tedium

- sansha rats are cool for amarr.

- The biggest belts ive seen are the lowsec veldspar roids.

- The is much Edit: Inappropriate language removed, CCP Phantom in nullsec.

- Most people are friendly, even if they are killing you or being killed.

- there are hardly any gatecamps as someone can always crash them. a mid warp camp can be abandoned if a surge in sigs are detected

- And Goons are secretly trying to rewrite the EVE code so that all their ships are pink.

This is wot i saw

I got tired of ratting in 0.1 so now I rat in -0.4. I think I make ok money for a frigate, and I see less action than lowsec tbh.
