Warning Mismatch between Public and System identifiers in the DOCTYPE declaration

This document uses an inconsistent DOCTYPE declaration. The Public Identifier -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN declares the XHTML 1.0 Transitional document type, but the associated System Identifier http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd does not match this document type.

The recommended System Identifier for XHTML 1.0 Transitional is http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd.

The safest way to use a correct DOCTYPE declaration is to copy and paste one from the recommended list and avoid editing that part of your markup by hand.

Info No Character encoding declared at document level

No character encoding information was found within the document, either in an HTML meta element or an XML declaration. It is often recommended to declare the character encoding in the document itself, especially if there is a chance that the document will be read from or saved to disk, CD, etc.

See this tutorial on character encoding for techniques and explanations.

you need to replace your ampersands in URLs with their equivalent htmlentities (&)
(the above code does not render as an & in the post because of the failure to declare the encoding as utf-8)

you mean the "not ready for production yet" html5

yeah... that matters

fact is if CCP wants to track down the forum issues, they need valid html headers at a minimum
sending browsers into "best guess" mode will not help with narrowing down the actual problems

Don't forget these boards were swallowing posts faster than Charlie Sheen swallows whiskey even before they were upgraded recently. The only thing that's changed is a redirect on error page that doesn't even allow an F5 refresh.

CCP, I love you but your forums are straight awful.

If anyone ever looks at you and says,_ "Hold my beer, watch this,"_  you're probably going to want to pay attention.
