When can we have line breaks back?

In MOTD, chat lines, recruitment ads, EVERYTHING (except for the bio) we are not allowed to use line breaks. It is ugly, unpolished and VERY difficult to read.
Basically it looks like everything that is typed out is like this. When you can't add a line break, it makes it difficult to decide if people are talking in choppy sentences or paragraphs. My most major issue is that I fear CCP may have done it because of a few people who like to ctrl-enter a line down and push whole lines of text off with a simple period or something,
Was this intentional, CCP? Or was it seriously missed for over four Crucible updates? I was living with it fine (though it bothered me) until I posted a recruitment ad, took a look at it and it looked like this: http://www.siigarikitawa.com/images/recruitment.png
As you can see that is clearly unacceptable. Please fix this CCP, I don't want my eyes to be stabbed with bad text formatting knives when people put in the effort to enter line breaks into their text.

No. Stacking [br] tags don't work past the first one.

Confirming we are having the same issue in corp bulletins. I have old bulletins up from pre-Crucible and they have extra spaces easily created with the enter key, but now we can't get them anymore.
