Hulk is a nice ship for corporate fleet operations where you have an Orca/Rorqual for boosts and a freighter to haul away the ore/ice.

Do not use it for solo mining. Hulks are expensive and easy to kill which makes them very attractive gank targets. They also have very small cargo holds so the other Exhumers will harvest more simply because they don't need to unload as often. Mackinaw has a huge cargo bay for solo mining but is slow and also a popular gank target. Skiffs are fast and can fit a battleship tank - the safest way to mine.

Note that you will get 80% of the capability for 10% of the cost with a T1 barge - Procurer recommended.

k thanks!! (see my previous post). :)

Highsec PI is not a road to riches but is is a useful way to extend your margins once you start manufacturing T2 product. All the P2 required for T2 can be harvested in highsec but the planets are poor and POCO taxes vary from reasonable to ridiculous. ISK/hour isn't bad because PI doesn't take up a lot of time.

If you establish a base in the same region as the market hub you will be selling your finished goods, you can manage your industry, your markets and your PI while you are mining. You will need a few skills like Scientific Networking, Supply Chain Management and
Marketing to managing your business remotely.

The ability to multitask and manage multiple revenue streams at the same time is a road to riches!
