What a brilliant idea!

Because of this feature I have been playing for a solid 8 hours (a rarity for me), been in three fights and made 400 mil from the cerebral enhancers.

I hope this is the shape of things to come... Imagain if CCP did this with PLEX. Players numbers would sky rocket and it would be a good way for CCP to regulate the price of PLEX... Well, one can dream Roll

Ive lots of people saying the accelerator is broken even though the devblog says it's working as intended. Can anyone confirm or deny with 100% certainty of the accelerator is in fact working as intended?

We were running a timing experiment on it in Live Events.
Training an 8* skill from 0 to 1.
Should have been done in 49 minutes according to our maths.
Actually taking 57 minutes. Which matches unboosted time.

So it's certainly not working for some people as intended.

Nice little promotion. The sites are easily doable in a Confessor. I've noticed intense competition for them. Lots of people roaming around looking for them. Very good event, CCP!

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I think the booster does nothing. I will now describe in detail why I have this belief. I have read the news post on the UI issue. I think this is beyond the UI issue in my understanding. Before going farther, the booster could be doing something if it is all purely being accounted for at the server side and the true accounting will somehow be granted when everything is ironed out.

The main point is that whenever the active or next-in-line-to-be-active skill is dragged around, the correct time is shown. When the skill queue is applied or unpaused, this correct time reverts to the timing it would have pre-booster.

I'm sure everyone is with me at this point.

The next step is the last step. This incorrect time is the time that actually proceeds. I've timed it twice now, once where the difference between the two times is a 50 minute window.

So, this is what happens. I think it does nothing unless it will be accounted for later, in which case I didn't find, "This is only a UI issue, and the skills themselves are training at the proper adjusted rate." to be sufficiently clear.

hey guys, the new boosters are broken. and i don't mean the UI.

i just trained a 8x skill from L0 to L1. i calculated that with 23/23/22/23/23 attributes and the +10 booster, it should have been done in 49 minutes. it finished in 57 minutes, which is what it should have taken if i wasn't using the booster at all. bug report filed.

Great event theme!

Please add the Accelerators to the Market.

Wouldn't it have been interesting if this was the precursor to the proposed neural transplants. Instead of a 24 boost, have it be X amount of SP given per injection with a 24 hour Cooldown. Makes a little sense with Blood Raiders stealing the essence from other lives...

Anyways, can't wait to get home and try hunting down some of these!

The Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerator does not change anything for me.
As reported by another player, if I put the queue on pause, the timer report a queue a little bit shorter.

A strange thing happen just before the deployment of the first Blood Raider Gauntlet site I saw.
My computer crash with a blue screen. Coincidence?
But when I reconnect, here it was, my first Blood Raider Gauntlet site.

Was it a very bad deployment or just a freak accident?

Anyone experience same thing?

There were 2 other dev posts here, one pointing to a news article about the Cerebral Accelerator issues.

Giggety Giggety!

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

It's not working, paused the skill updates to a shorter time but as soon as I un-pause sill training goes back to time as if there is no boost and counts down from that....

Thank you so much for this awesomeness CCP. I have been waiting since I started playing (09') for an event like this or even just more spot light on one of the most intriguing pirate factions in New Eden. To all those complaining about this or that I have faith CCP will get everything ironed out and polished so chill out and enjoy this. I know I will Twisted

Also can someone elaborate on the part where we can actually help the Blood Raiders? And is there anyway we can get more BR agents sprinkled in amarr low sec please. Actually all the pirate factions could use some agents in their respective part of low sec. Makes the game more dynamic over all, more chance for PvP and gives RP's and pve guys some cool options.

The problem is it's doesn't seem to be only UI thing. This training with same speed as before the accelerator. Just measure it yourself and you will see it's not UI issue.

Thought exactly the same thing. I wish they would explain the effect in context with the ui in a better way. This.... "Don't worry, it's working" is only just a small step above of saying anything. I guess we'll see who was right, when the first boosters timer reach 0.

What the bloody hell did i do to get singled out for this griefing by NPCs ? I love this game and have played it for just under 10 years, but if CCP insist on picking on me out of the thousands of other people that play this game then i guess it's time to cancel sub.

Guess i could petition CCP for bullying..............

You realize literally everyone with an eve subscription got that email right?

Thank goodness you were here to divulge that important information. I literally thought that I was being randomly singled out for a special event in an MMORPG played by thousands...................

Is this your first time on the EvE forums or something?
