There must be some kind of battle in low sec where I was few hours earlier, 35 ship lost in one hour, and it was full of cruisers running sansha incursions when I was leaving it. All those moments...

I think it was a warning. Experimental AI capable of feeling sadness or happiness, but without any reasons to be happy in their state, that would be like being damned by your creators. Who knows what that AI would do to the people around it.

Also, consider the dead man's switch - you could say that it's a very rudimentary AI that's designed to do one thing only. Kill everyone. And worst of all, the condition to not do so is receiving manual operator input. We all know humans are error prone. It might be just luck that I didn't get cancelled as I didn't come into production untill 1988.
