No, that should have a negligible difference. What CPU do you have? I wish more games showed CPU frames along with GPU frames, would make it easier to see if your CPU is part of the problem.


AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 8-Core 3.6 GHz . I don't know,I'll keep Windows' Task Manager open to see if the CPU load is heavy. What?

Hmm, it's not a terrible processor but not the best either. Bulldozer based core CPU's are kind of know for bad single threaded performance.

You should have a FPS increase with that GPU, not a significant one but one nonetheless. Try using the driver cleaner you get from guru3d.com and reintall the AMD graphics drivers and see what you get.


I found the reason. It is because of playing WoW at max settings with extreme anti-aliasing and only a GTX 1070 can handle it. I'm fine with other games. Big smile

If anyone is waiting on me for something this evening my washing machine has sorta exploded so wont be availible at all. This is chaos.

Good question, it was less of a detonation and more sealants failing while the machine is operating results in water everywhere. I guess the water out-take got blocked as the sink flooded with washing machine water as well. And girlfriend did not notice until it was far to late.

Apparently running water is surprisingly difficult to hear. Exploding was no doubt a dramatisation. Lol
