The old girl just turned 4. Running at a decent overclock for most of that, too. It was time. Just...a very inconvenient one.

I'm sorry for what happened but I think you were already aware at the beginning that overclocking shortens the life of the product greatly. Sad

Extreme heat and cold are the enemy of electronic circuits. If I had this baby, I'd never overclock it.Because overclocking it above 4 gigahertz causes it heat up to 250° F even with the best water cooling solutions.

EDIT: Besides,it is a TRULY future-proof cpu.No need to overclock it anyway.

So what was your late GPU and what will be your new one?

I am aware of that. I'd planned to replace it long before now. Unfortunately, I didn't forsee being buried under mountains of medical bills because the US is backwards in that regard.
