Woo-hoo? My new computer just was delivered at my parent's today. Don't know when I'll be able to test it since my new home doens't haves internet, nor silly things like a matress on the bed. Nor food in the freezer nor, oh, dishes. I got to buy those stupid dishes on saturday, yes.

But, my new rig:

Box: NOX Hummer ZN USB 3.0 (Black)
Power source: Seasonic S12II 620W 80 Plus Bronze
MB: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 3
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6Ghz Box
Processor cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
RAM: 1x G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1866 PC3-14900 16GB 2x8GB CL9
Graphics card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 Gaming G1 WindForce 4GB GDDR5
Primary HD: Samsung 850 Evo SSD Series 250GB SATA3
Storage HD: Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB SATA3 64MB

Other: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64Bits OEM, Dell UltraSharp U2414H 24" LED IPS, Sennheiser RS 120 II Wireless headset, Logitech K-310 washable keyboard, Logitech M150 mouse.

The keyboard and mouse are the same I have on my current 6 years old rig, which will stay at my parents'. I just love those two peripherals. I've never been disappointed by a Logitech product, and that's something after 23 years dealing with PC...

Congrats!

I had a Windforce once when I was a child.

It was in Diablo, of course.

Could one-shot the pesky Hell Witches with it.

Logitech is good. But could be better. Some of my keyboard letters have been partially brushed away by repetitive stroking.

I have this set.
I was surprised it needs so small amount of energy.

Logitech is great. Still have a 15+ year old thumb trackball that uses a PS/2 connector and a 10+ year old pair of speakers, old Logitech webcam that still works perfectly with no fuss. Not the best products around in terms of features or whatever but they work.

Nice specs! I'm pretty jelly. My current rig is getting a little long in the tooth these days.

I was burnt out by the first wireless devices, specially the mouse that would just run out of battery in the middle of everything relevant.

Anyway I picked the keyboard because it haves black letters on white keys... black keys with white letters give me some trouble with my eye, specially when they get dirty. Also picked the mouse because of size, I've got small hands with short fingers and the M150 is just the perfect fit for me.

The older mouse was a Logitech and lasted for 8 years and 2 computers. That's exaclty what I look for in a silly key bashing machine... perfect performance and dign end of life after many eyars of reliable functioning.

BTW, I still have my first keyboard... a PS/2 Fujitsu Cherry whose lifespan is something like "indestructible". 23 years later, each key pushes back from the stroke with a firm, satisfying "click". God knows what's the endurance of those springs...

...not to mention that that Fujitsu keyboard haves a larger footprint than my CPU tower. Lol

On my old hardware, this thing still works. Smile

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

As we speak of gas mileage, back then when i was a kid, my dad had one of these Battleships, i think they had a gas milage in single digits. Big smile

If he had the 1974 model than it was pre-catalytic converter, it would have had comparable gas mileage to today's mid-size sedans.

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

New probe scanner is ok. Had to fiddle with it for a bit before I could wring out the functionality I'm used to from the previous one, but it's good. And by good, I mean it's almost the same.
