So it would appear that I have received the items for the 24th and 30th today. Possibly Brain in the Box deciding that since my account is subbed past those dates that I should, no, I deserve to get them earlier?

LordOdysseus, I've been watching Doctor Who since the mid 70s. Tom Baker was the first Doctor I was introduced to when local PBS stations here started showing BBC shows.

Really? How wonderful! Which one is your favourite Doctor? Mine is Matt Smith/David Tennant BECAUSE those two have immense charm even if you have watched them act only for 5 minutes. I'm doing a Series 1(Christopher Eccleston) marathon to onwards. Sadly none of the TV channels air Doctor Who in my country , nor do I have access to Hulu/Netflix. So I was forced to download it from the web and watch from PC.

Anyways the show is decent and it is suitable for kids. It is creative every episode and pulls the viewer in. There isn't much gore,violence nor obscenity. The show relies heavily on storytelling and inventiveness. The reason behind these is it was on BBC. AFAIK BBC is run with British taxpayers money and the channel has to produce high-quality content. I also created a thread in OOPE months ago. That thread also discussed about the possibility of the next Doctor being female. What do you think about a female incarnation of the Doctor,RoAnnon? Yay or nay?

In the new incarnation of the show, I like Tennant, though I really would have liked to see Eccleston do a few seasons more than he did. I'm still unsure how I like what the new writers did when Davies left at the time Tennant regenerated into Matt Smith. At first I was really upset with some of the changes to the Doctor's personality, but now that we're past Matt Smith and all of that is "in the past" it's getting easier to accept as just another aspect of the Doctor over the years and incarnations he's had.

A female? I don't see why that would be an issue. There have been female Time Lords in the show before: Romana. If the Master can do it... *shrugs* no problem with it at all.
