Happy Monday and what not!

I guess I'm old, compared to some, young compared to others, it's all dependent on definition of "old", I suppose.

Eating KFC in the past few years has caused me health issues, headaches and **** like that. No idea what they've changed, but it's **** now.

For the record, Mr. McNally, I do NOT swill coffee. One does not swill a beverage that is so clearly a gift of Divine Providence.

Just dont do it in the U.S.

KFC has really gone to hell. Just not nearly as good as it used to be.

Well, here in Spain they've never been a large franchise compared to the burguer ones, since they have local competitors (unlike burguers, which where a unseen meal in Spain until the late 60s). Here in Spain it's very comnon to eat rotisserie chicken(?) on sundays; and I mean what we call "pollo a l'ast", bought just cooked and not packaged Costco stuff from the wikipedia article... A whole chicken cooked in a turning spit along with others, carefully sprayed with a mix of water and lemon juice plus their recovered oil, grease and juices (gravy?), so the chicken skin will roast but not dry. A whole chicken cooked this way may cost 8 or 9 euros with a serving of roast potatoes, gravy and peppers. Once established, it is unusual that a rotisserie shop goes out of business and there are no franchises, they usually are family run and owned.

Good morning LAGLers!

We just had our Elections day in Spain and turnout has been a mess of impossible allegiances. Right/Conservatives (2 major parties) can block the election of any Left/progressive PM, and Left/Progressives (also 2 major parties) can block the reelection of the current Right/Conservative PM. The former allegiances among Catalan nationalistic conservatives and Spanish conservatives is blocked since Catalan nationalistic conservatives are palying the separatist card, and anyway they've been locally outperformed in Catalonia by Catalan left nationalists, who also are separatists.

We are in a pretty mess. Spanish People has voted for change and they've replaced bipartidism with a mutually locking four-partidism! Watch and see:

1st can agree with 4th...
2nd may agree with 3rd, but 3rd was meant to wipe out 2nd...
3rd and 4th hate each other...
4th could agree with 2nd but not with 3rd...
1st and 2nd could agree among them but then they would alienate the mainstream of their voters and hand them in a platter to the 3rd and 4th parties, who certainly won't agree in no way...

Fun times for Spain politics and governemnt... will we end up holding a second election? Wait and see! Bear

You had to see the Turkish elections on November 1st. The result was a total shock for everyone. Lol

I recommend everyone to go bowling this Christmas.

If you can't bear to tear yourself away from EVE, just imagine you're using bombs against a fleet of vertical, white ships.

o/ all.

An old guy ran into my car today.

Backed straight into it after thinking his car might be too high for the carpark ceiling. Didn't look or anything, just put his car in reverse and hit the accelerator. Straight into the front of my car with his 1976 Lancruiser.

At least he was sorry. About $4000 damage looks like. Lucky for insurance.
