Migrate to the STEAM account

Hi! I want to play with STEAM in further because it's much more cheaper than with paying on official site but I found that I can't transfer my "usual" account to the STEAM and have to create new STEAM account.
That's why I want to know if I can transfer my characters from old account (created on site) to the new one (created via STEAM)? Or I can only transfer characters with usual way (paying 2 PLEX for each of them)?

I tried to make request to support but didn't get answer at all.

You should be able to transfer the characters in the normal fashion as long as both accounts are active, you will be charged as per usual @ 2 PLEX per character.

Most of the time when the question of Steam/Eve transfers comes up it's normally people wanting to migrate away from Steam rather that to it.

Just out of interest how is Steam cheaper?

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

On secure.eveonline.com month cost $14.95 but on steam one month cost $6.66 if you pay for more than 3 month. Also PLEX cost less than $10 if you buy more than 2. I think, it's big difference.
I heard that if you want to migrate from "usual" account to steam account, support can transfer your account (or characters from it). But I didn't got answer from support so try to ask it on the forum.

Not sure where you heard that, but the price is the same through eveonline.com or through steam. It definitely isn't $6.66/mo.

This account is through steam, I pay for it in six-month chunks and I pay exactly the same as if I wasn't subbed through steam.

Can confirm that I have the exact same prices on steam, as I have on eveonline.com.

You should probably take another look at it, otherwise it's just 2 PLEX out the window.

Me too, Steam subscription prices for Eve are identical to the prices on the Eve account management page.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Steam might have a sale every now and then, but I would assume those are aimed at new accounts. there is a 6month $50 sale that gets rolled out every now and then but I remember seeing that on the eve website.

I started this account with a steam sale, but after a year and a half I wish I didn't. It isn't worth it to deal with steam.

the OP probably saw a steam new player deal
