Will Citadels adopt current POS bonuses provided by Dust Districts?

Currently Districts held by Corporations in Dust provide bonuses to any POS anchored on any moon of that planet, one of which I know is fuel consumption. I believe the other two are production related.

Will these bonuses carry over to Citadels when they release?

EDIT: Found them

Quote:

Research lab district bonus:
A decrease in POS fuel usage
5% per district owned to a maximum of 4 districts or 20%

Cargo hub district bonus:
A decrease in manufacturing time at Player Owned Starbases (POSes)
10% per district owned to a maximum of 4 districts or 40%

Is it too early in the design process for a definitive answer to be given?

This is a good question. I will share it.

It is a shame so few eve pilots take advantage of the POS bonus, as it can be quite substantial, despite the hassle that comes with operating out of Heath. Most don't even know there is a bonus.

+1 to Chance for inquiring on our behalf.

Tends to be a best kept secret as it could potentially help cap production.

Okay guys well CCP Nullarbor who is working on structures in a major way it turns out was one of the guys who worked on the Dust FW bonuses for POSes.

Right now the status of this bonus is not really set in stone for a few reasons:

  • While a POS has to be anchored at a moon, a Citadel can be anchored anywhere. This means the idea that a Citadel is directly associated with a specific planet isn't the same as current POS anchoring
  • Citadels don't use fuel the same way as a POS would so the fuel bonus doesn't correlate directly

Right now that is all I can get. I think it's safe to say the answer is "probably not carried over the same way" but do take heart that the current structure team is staffed by the people who designed the Dust bonuses, so they are well aware of its consideration.

Sorry I can't do more at this time.

Did not know this existed, never heard or seen anyone talk about this before...

Another one of these aye?

How does someone figure out the type and level of Dust influence on POS's?
Or better yet where is the published information on this?

It depends on the number of Districts on the planet. All moons around those planets gain the bonuses.

I'm not sure if the Production Facility got any bonuses applied, or what they were if there were.

Ah ok according to dotlan only 3 corps own planets in the whole of dust
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/districts/corporations
And those POS upgrades only work in Molden Heath

I presumed any district in FW could have bonuses

But the whole thing looks like a half baked idea.

And it seems like the only interaction between eve and dust is still only a decent but painful to get LP drop via orbital bombardment.

To be fair, you only need to hold 4 districts to get the bonus out of it. You don't need the entire planet.

I would love to see districts extended to Null Sec though. 40% reduction in manufacturing time would be something to consider for sure.

And I know for a fact that Ancient Exiles, Capital Acquisitions, and Fatal Absolution would LOVE to get paid to fight a war. Cover their expenses and they'll throw clones at things for as long as they can.

Why does everyone on the forums have to be so dam extremist.

Lets just start off with expanding dust influence into all FW zones first

Expanding it into null wouldn't provide content and the bonuses would have to be nerfed down to like 1% tops.
