Currently I am on a trial account, but have skilled into basic ships (t1) up to cruiser. My E-war knowledge is pretty bad. I only know a few things like what the modules do and how to use them, what the different ECCM's (gravimetric for example, used to boost gravimetric signal strength to avoid jamming) can do. I just need help with a right skill path, ship to use and modules to equip for chosen roles in E-war.

There are a lot of corporations that can help - including Eve University.

Also bring up ISIS in game and look at the requirements for Blackbird (Caldari) or Celestis (Gallente) also look at the recommended skill progression on the mastery tab.

My $0.02 on EWAR for newbies.

The Maulus and the Vigil are both top tier force multipliers for newbros to jump in. A Maulus can silence three long-range damage dealers or damp out a logistics ship. Vigils add whopping amounts of damage to a Missile based fleet's output and helps turret fleets with tracking (and hence: damage).

Learn to stay at range and make bookmarks to bounce to.
