Mission Running - Using Filters

I've noticed a lot of pilots still sporting the old damage type / armor resists in their bio. Leads me to wonder whether or not many people have figured out you can just use filters to sort this out.

I get that this will not be news to many players and in fact rather irrelevant. IF, however, you do rely on this information for mission running etc then a lot of effort can be removed by filtering your modules, ammo and drones:

====================================
Damage Type - EMP
====================================
Name Starts With EMP
Name Starts With Acolyte
Name Starts With Infiltrator
Name Starts With Praetor
Name Starts With Curator
Name Starts With Armor EM
====================================
Damage Type - EXP
====================================
Name Starts With Fusion
Name Starts With Berserker
Name Starts With Warrior
Name Starts With Valkyrie
Name Starts With Bouncer
Name Starts With Armor Explosive
====================================
Damage Type - KIN
====================================
Name Starts With Titanium Sabot
Name Starts With Warden
Name Starts With Hornet
Name Starts With Vespa
Name Starts With Wasp
Name Starts With Armor Kinetic
====================================
Damage Type - THERM
====================================
Name Starts With Phased Plasma
Name Starts With Garde
Name Starts With Hobgoblin
Name Starts With Hammerhead
Name Starts With Ogre
Name Starts With Armor Thermic
====================================

Obviously this is tailored to my current play-style. Tailor it to your own needs.
No big revelation here, just a handy tip for anyone who isn't aware you can do this.

It's not uncommon for PvPers to put it in the bio to make it look like they might be a PvEer if someone just quickly checks.

So there probably a lot of people out there who have it in their bio but not to use for PvE reasons.

Nice post though; and useful for those that do PvE.

I don't use filters and this post doesn't tell me how to use them.

For complete noobs, like myself, it's probably best to give step by step instructions.

You just made yourself look completely stupid. That search provides nothing relevant.

Give http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Managing_Your_Assets a read-through.

The exact section for filters is at http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Managing_Your_Assets#Filters_pane, but for new players, the entire article has a wealth of information.

Generally, EVE University's wiki (http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/) is a great go-to resource. Checking Google for "eve uni wiki topicyouwant" (sans quotes) will return a number of relevant articles.

Just be wary of info found on the official EVE wiki, https://wiki.eveonline.com/. It's... a wee bit outdated.

You can take your ****** attitude and basically GTFO, if you're going to be like that - the guy above made a valid point about the filters (I don't know what they are either), and that snide LMGTFY link is worse than useless.

And yes, as someone else said, you now look like a raging idiot, as that Google search provides nothing relevant or tangibly useful.

Calling your frigate "shuttle" or "explorer" also works. Or "rails" when you're actually blaster fit.

Anyone else here sometimes change their ship name to a random ship name that shows up on D-Scan? Especially if it is the same class? Or is it just me?
