Hello! I don't really spend much time here but through friends-of-friends-of-marriages-that-should-really-have-never-happened I have some fortunate news that I thought I might pass on to you!

As his mother has just let me know over the phone, Frenjo Borkstar is alive and well. Here is the relevant section from the automatic transcript of the phone conversation for your confirmation:

Quote:

So, yes... after about three days of doing absolutely nothing but scouring the area around Jita and almost shorting out our directional scanner, we ended up finding our little Frenjo asleep in an Ibis at top belt in Kisogo. We have really no idea what he was doing there.

Could you please tell his friends - not the ones that are always trying to have awkward, bad, cybersex with each other all the time; the other ones - that he is OK? I recall you knowing how to get in touch with them and it might relieve them to know.

This part, please keep to yourself: He's been behaving rather odd lately. Ever since the Drifters started making appearances he's been trying on black clothing at home and pretending to be a Jove in the mirror. We told him Hallowe'en was only a few weeks away, and he got angry and ran away from home, and we didn't hear from him again.

The Ibis was even poorly fit, so we're going to have to talk to him about that, too. Hopefully he makes something of it and doesn't just try to run away again...

So there you have it. All is well!

I am now imagining Borkstar in an Ibis fleeing his mother (who is pursuing him in a Raptor) while screaming, "You are not the boss of me, ma!"

Also, people still use phones?

As I said in the other thread, concord representatives confirmed that this Viriel and Frenjo were not the same person.
The two also happened to co-exist as capsuleers for about a month, with Frenjo making a number of appearances.

So the two aren't one and the same, and Frenjo being listed in Doomheim certainly is biomassed.

So he activated two clones of himself at once, and one of them off'ed himself.

That is....not surprising me actually. Sounds like something he would have done.

According to his parents, he repeatedly demanded to be called that. Once they refused, and made the Hallowe'en remark, he was out the door.

As we mentioned before - that proves nothing.

There are a lot of illegal clones around the Claster, who are indecated by CONCORD as different persons with new IDs by their altered DNA-code, but they are just copies still.

A lot of these puppets are used by weak hi-sec corporations as CEOs, pretending to be full-function capsuleers, and never leave the dock, while their cowardly owners are hiding from war-decs.

Citation needed.

Though there *are* capsuleers who use clones of very different genetic makeup as proxies, but this isn't recognised as illegal under CONCORD laws. It's the flesh-drones that are the ones CONCORD frowns upon. These flesh-drones are commonly found in trade hubs and in mining hotspots and are interdicted and liquidated with extreme prejudice if found.

There's no need to be so harsh, even before cordial introductions.

Or did you visit the Church of the Crimson Saviour late this month?

No, no, you have it all wrong, you see.

My comment is a triple-action pun.

You're a good poster, I say that makes one of us.

One interpretation, is that you're a good poster, and everyone else is bad. Making you the only good poster. Hurr.

The second interpretation, is that you're called "A Good Poster", but that actually you're a bad poster, and I am the only good poster. Hurr.

The third interpretation, is that you're called "A Good Poster", but there is no such thing as a good poster, only bad posters, and thusly your name is ironic. Hurr.

see? triple-action humour. Wahey!

Have you considered a career in erotic literature?

With the brain being the largest erogenous zone, technically all literature is erotic.

That said, I can't say that I've considered such a career.

Why do you ask ?

Deliberately obtuse rhetorical questions aside, that's a nice line.

The problem is, while technically all literature is erotic, "erotic literature" is a euphemistic term.
