Mass-Test on Singularity, Thursday 15th October @ 10:30 EVE-Time

Hi!
We are planning a special mass test for Brain in a Box on Singularity on Thursday, October 15th, at 10:30 UTC (= EVE time) - yes, this is in AUTZ! For this one we don't need as high numbers, but we need many Devs arouns - so it is perfect for a test at a different time.

What exactly is being tested?


How to connect to Singularity for this test:

Test steps:

  1. Meet in FD-MLJ at the X-BV98 gate
  2. Jump to X-BV98
  3. Warp to POS beacon
  4. Shoot the control tower
  5. Warp to Poitot gate
  6. Jump to Poitot
  7. Jump back to X-BV98
  8. Align to FD-MLJ gate
  9. Fleet 1: Jump to FD-MLJ and setup gate camp
  10. Fleet 2: Jump to FD-MLJ + fight at the gate


What else should I know?
  • Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
  • Bring many different ships
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test

so basically, those 2M skillpoints will not affect my character's skillpoints on tranquility?

That is right, it will only be place on Singularity.

I have a young Character, and those 2M skillpoints will definitely help.
Thinking of it, my Singularity experience may definitely help with learning to PVP, so I might give it a go!

that what masstests are for. . just dont be mad when you die. just fit in test system as many ships as you need before masstest. set the system as homestation incase you get podded so you will keep fighting untill last ship is gone or masstest is over

Thank you for helping with this mass test yesterday. Skill points have been added to your characters on Singularity.

We found mostly one very annoying bug where the clients were not updated correctly with resistances and other information from the server.

Next mass test at the normal time will probably happen on Tuesday.

so this mass test was emergency one?


why not make 2 masstests one eu timezone one us timezone so if someone was not able to participate in 1 masstest at the day he has still chance to engage in another .

No, it was now a Emergancy one.. It was a "special" one. It was made this time so dev's etc could be on.

Nope, just as long as you have a range of 35+ km and can lock up a pos tower at that range.

As already answered by Kierss this mass test was not emergency, but we needed not as many players - so it was totally fine to run it at this early time, which made it easier for our programmers to have a look at it. This time we gathered detailed logs and performance metrics to see if there are any important problems around. In the next one on Tuesday we will be disabling most internal logging (which has a massive impact on server performance) and we will be looking at the real server performance. My goal would be to have around 500 players active in this mass test.

Regarding US timezone: I'll see if I can add a later mass test at some point, but it has to make sense for us.
