I don't know how much the venue and staff cost, along with all the kit required for the tournaments etc, but I don't think £30 is OTT. Last time round we had dev presentations and everything!

So far every event has run at a few hundred (personal) loss because the budget is so tight. I needed a little wiggle-room, specifically if the event doesn't sell out. Additionally we have t-shirts this time around, more staffing cost to guide the pub crawl around, and some additional entertainment.

don't worry, i wont make any money out of this Big smile every penny taken (and more) is spend on the event.

£30 is not expensive imo I'm happy to pay it some people are just miserable
