Yes, we hate them because of that.
BUT UNLIKE YOU WE DON'T KILL THEM FOR THAT.

The Republic won't forget what the Empire did to them 200 years ago. But neither will the Republic ignore what is still going on today. When every Matari is given a fair option to either leave the Empire or receive Empire citizenship, and the Empire exercises a hand of restraint upon raiding slaver operations based in Amarr space, then the war will end. Oh yeah, and an actual apology would be pretty ******* nice, too. People will still hate the Amarr, but that can't be helped. People will still demand the end of slavery, myself among them, but the Republic's fight will be over.

I can't say for the Empire, but I am pretty much sure that for war to end... peacefully, the Republic should retract all their forces at once, bring public apologises for attacks and savagery; pay reparations to the Empire and CONCORD for both Elder fleet invasion into Amarr space and Yulai, and pay for all Empire war expenses during 24th Crusade.

As for demanding the end of slavery in the Amarr, this is ridiculously stupid, unless these people LIVE in the Amarr Empire. So, if they "demand" it from outside the Empire, they can shove their demands into their *censored* and light them on fire to launch themselves into space as another minmatar-grade propulsion engine.

The problem is, the Republic has no way to make those reparations, and if they made those apologies, the Tribes would riot. The Elder invasion has put the Republic in a position where it is being called upon to clean up **** that it didn't leave behind. You have to realize that the Republic is the direct expression of the Tribes, and it had NO PART in the Elder invasion.

Military captains who decided to go ahead and join the invasion? They are still considered mutineers and deserters. It was Thukkers in that fleet. They aren't part of the Republic. They destroyed Yulai, not us. Why would we have attacked CONCORD? We signed it into existence!

Why should the Republic pay and apologize for a stunt it didn't pull, even one it decried from the start? We didn't restart the war with the Amarr. The Elders and the Thukkers did, and now we're the ones locked in the fight.

Oh, well, there is a thing though, that in Elder invasion there were Thukker ships together with Republic. Besides, they were allowed to travel through the Republic borders uncontested. Maybe, after all, the Republic should be disbanded if it fails to control even its Navy? I heard during this time even whole planets in Republic space were slipping into pirate control... And where are these mutineers? Would you submit them to the Empire if you find them? Would you submit all the slaves they pulled out from the Empire back as well?..

Wasn't actually Shakor for the war with the Empire?.. I heard he himself personally was fighting illegally against them as a criminal or even a terrorist.

But if this is not true and Minmatar can really live in peace with Amarr, they really should ask them to peace negotiations. I am pretty much sure that the Amarr will still blame the Republic in the Elder invasion and the Republic will have to do something about it to stop the war.
