firstly i apologise if this is in the wrong subforum.

i was gonna quit but now im tempted to sub an additional account and train them up to be my links.

im a cheater u say?

well maybe but afaik thers no honor in space.

anyway questions.

Roughly how long will it take to train a fresh toon into a perfect siege + skirmish loki links toon.

Another question how the hell do you multibox?

i dont want to buy a program or whatever just want to run two clients off the same machine.

multibox by running multiple accounts at the same time, i multibox 2 chars and have 2 screens, 1 on each screen, now with the new shared folder you simply just use the launcher to login into a 2nd account, no third party applications required

Long enough that you would be better off just buying one if you value your time.

If I'm taking something shiny enough to warrant links i'll throw my links on my 2nd screen. I put the overview and scan window on the left hand side so I can notice someone landing on grid with peripheral vision whilst fighting on my main screen.

well you need to click switch accounts but yeah thats the way i do it

Competent t3 booster takes about 6 months(ish) all told from scratch, that's with solid scanning skills the option for shipping up into a command ship if you're fairly static.

Massive utility out of a cloaking booster scanning t3 on a separate account, genuinely useful thing to have.

hey wth eve central says there no cerebral accelerators on the market.

did those get removed?

Also worth noting that cybernetics is the most usefull skill as mindlinks are incredebly usefull.

And youll soon see that even t1 links and a t1 bc are fairly awesome, its a fun way to see skills really blossom.

Actually this as a fairly good point, t1 links on a t1 Battlecruiser will still have the same effect as dumping an outrageous amount of isk into your fits, just not as good as t2.

Still very much useful though.

You could train a good alt for ever.
ship skills
leadership skills
scanning/probing skills
logistics skills
cyno
cloak/de-cloak
etc
etc

Just be sure to train him opposite of your main, and he can offer a whole different side of EVE for you.
You can probably go 2 or 3 years before you have to start overlapping skill sets.

(It's not cheating, just don't call it "solo" pvp Blink)

(You can win more or have a clean conscience. The latter isn't all that appealing for most)

(I'd suggest looking into purchasing a character off the Bazaar instead of training one ground up)

If you want to use T1 links, you're looking at about 5 months. If you want use T2 links on a T3, you're looking at 8 months. If you use cerebral accelerators, +5 implants with proper remaps, you're looking at 7 months. It mat be best to train for T1 BCs then CSs for this cause I don't believe OGB won't be around within the next year.

If you have at least a 2.2ghz i7 Quad core with 8 GB Ram and a 2 GB NVidia Geforce GTX 560 you'll have enough horsepower to split screen eve on the same computer. Go to graphics & display panel and select Window Mode to split screen on the same computer. The better option is to get yourself 3 or 4 ASUS G74SX-NH71 and have the capability of multiboxing 6 clients at once. Last I check they only cost around $500.00 usd on ebay.

And what Ralph said. It takes 6 months-ish to train from zero to full. But you have to carefully plan your remaps to not waste any since one of them needs to be a full charisma remap.

Use the +5 implants as soon as you can, leave some at minimum which can also remove some time of your que.
