I just found a 1.89 GHz hardware system for $89 (+tax) which I posted in another thread and since I got no reply if it would work, I didn't buy it.

I spent the money on other opportunities I had since they too may have gone away, but at least I had more reliable information about it.

Anyways, it seems it is not all that worth it for me.

This isn't Facebook or Instagram.

Starting a thread saying you didn't buy something is right up there with starting a thread that you didn't take your morning dump.

It's completely irrelevant and no one cares.

lol, yes it is , so why are you not buying it?
Looks like I am the only one who cares for it, because if others did, there would be risk of data corruption.

He was trying to find out if the system would be compatible to run EVE Online.

You say, he should have bought it, risk to lose money , and then buy another one , which may not work , because the info related to it is not worth it, and is worth a morning dump.

It is completely irrelevant and no one cares.
I even question if they can.

In fact, there is no use to post about it and it should be repressed.
Just to prove a point.

I also agree because it would help me to get more ISK by not posting.

The machine that just died was a 2 core, 3GHz, 4GB RAM, GT 630.

I would recommend graphics cards with a "6" in the second diget. Such as GT 660 or a 760 or in Radeon's case the Radeon HD 5550 doesn't look bad at all but it is clearly a huge step up from the 5450.

Processors, I would say i3 and newer. Always check for how many threads go with the cores and make sure that it is a hyper threading processor. You can usually Wiki things and look for these key words. Example

RAM, 2 GB tends to run out of RAM if you start running things like Mumble, Team Speak and a web browser with more than one or two tabs open. I recommend 3 GB+ or better to be safer 4GB+.

As you have seen, low profile or slim computers are annoying to get parts for them and they are a bit like laptops in being heat suseptable and losing effectiveness as a result. If you do have one, clean it regularly.

What state are you in? Maybe we can help spot something on E-bay or Newegg.
What is your budget? Is there a Gumtree site in your state?

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

ty very much.
I just managed to get refunded for a fraudulent $784 and change against one of my 2 bank accounts.
I then closed the account so the perpetrator could not continue to charge me for systems that wouldn't work, be it physical or theoretical ones.

Also today , I got a $10 worth of internet for 5 hours which ended around 2:30 PM
2 times around $1.65 for cod fish fritters.
I then bought 1 temporary card at $2 for 1 hour.
And now bought a second temporary card at $2 for 1 hour + a $3 Bowl Noodle Soup .

Today's internet costs:
$10 + $2 + $2 = $14 for 7 hours (5 hours + 1 hour + 1 hour).
Other costs:
$3.30 for 2 food + $3 noodles, = $6.30

Maybe it wouldn't work to get me to get something on Newegg or E-bay.
I'm in a state of no return like the whole EVE community .

By the way, despite attempts from a store to get me to buy a 2nd system which I don't need, and force me to sell one that I bought, I only paid about $250.
The new computer hardware was $100.00 with taxes included.
( = $88.50 + $11.51 = $100.01 cash, purchased October 4, 2015.)

The 1st 2GB VRAM video card which I still have , was $60 + tax, and it was purchased on October 6, 2015.
(= $67.80 = $167.80 subtotal)
I also bought a wireless mouse and keyboard combo which works at $19.
I was charged a $0.75 fee for computer peripheral recycling fee.
And I also bought a new 32 GB USB device for data storage from Kingston at $20.
I was also given a $5 discount, courtesy of the store.

I was offered a refund even if after the grace period which I also refused for my own undisclosed reasons at this time.

+ I study this for over 20 years, so, how would I even know, right?

Edit n:
The video card I got was only $44.99
+ taxes $5.85 (13%) = $50.84
(= $218.64 total)
on November 3, 2015.
I paid with $60 cash and got $9.15 change back.
I am also offered 44 points on a YourReward Program plan.
There is a 14-day return & exchange policy on eligible items.
30-day warrant y against MFG (manufacturer) Defect.
(the policy on the opened case are 14 days with no restocking fees.
There is a 10% restocking fee for unopened boxes that are returned opened.
My box was opened by the store clerk , or technician, or owner, or what ever agent worked there.
So, I don't have to pay a 10% fee.)

Of course, I can still make a proposal and get a $15,000 system with loaded licenses.

Edit n2:
+ 2 times $2 for 2 more hours = + $4.
