I've still got my Geckos somewhere. Pulled one of the damn things apart to map it's neural net and see what makes it so damn aggressive.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Was it 'feelings of abandonment over being given away'?

Well Mister Tuulinen, you know how Guristas ships are equipped with in-built juryrigged Drone Damage Amplifiers and prototype drone maintenance bays? Now imagine an unmanned fighter equipped with those very same modifications AND a drone internal guidance computer. All these fully compatible with the juryrigged amplifiers of the Rattlesnake class battleship, while still using the old build of the Drone AI gOS and without the drone limiter protocols that were imposed to capsuleer manufacturers by the Federation Navy a year ago!

What you get is a very mean, and very big, heavy drone that hits one notch harder than his weight class!

Maybe it was shock at being handed back to the State for punishment? I make a point to shine a light into it's video receptors and refer to it as "Citizen Drone" while discussing it's future (or lack of one).

The really great thing about Gurista ship designs is that they're ripped off from State Security ship designs and then they find their way INTO State Security doctrines.

I think the Guri's are worth keeping around just for the shot in the arm they give to State weapons research!

Wow Miss Arrendis! Komodo does sound like a better name! It's like a Drake only more venemous sounding!

Komodos, like Geckos, are dragons. I think that Drakes are generally considered feathered beasts. Gander might be a better name, if you want a fiercer Drake.

It was an impressive heist. There.

It also shouldn't have happened and could have been stopped. It wasn't. Someone probably wound up drinking the tea for it.

Yeah, no doubt about it.

A male goose is a fiercer small dragon?

I'm glad I only meet them cooked!
