As per previous thread , still get them .

I found getting hammered and attacking battleships with a frigate helps to get the initial hebejebes out.

When you're balls deep with a ship you have no business even thinking about tackling , never mind killing and actually making progress you kinda pull your **** together just in case you manage to pull it off.

Hopefully you never truly shake them off though,
this is the only game that I have ever gotten them from and it keeps me coming back.

Wouldn't mind losing the shake as my mind goes completely blank. Last time I tried I lost all focus on ranges, my speed and having enemy drones on me (I was in a frigate) I panic'd even more and burned out my mwd to get out of range.

About 6 years ago, I had a 20 minute long ceptor dual at the EC-P8R gate. Closest thing to a dog fight I've ever encountered in EVE. It really was an instance of, first person to make a mistake is dead. After the fight, warped back to the gate, jumped into HI-Sec and walked away for an hour to cool off. That was an amazing experience lol.

A lot of awesome things have happened on that gate. I remember a guy by the name of Snot Shot who seemed to live there P

I have flown cheap ships. The shakes I refer to is my heart is pounding so hard that it becomes a distraction which inables me to focus. Fight or flight mechanic I guess, in which my brain naturally chooses flight.

Practice makes perfect as they say. Also knowledge is power.

But also you gotta learn to not care. The fear of losing is one of the main reasons why people get the shakes and pounding heart. You need to focus your mind on not caring whether you live or die, but simply doing the best you can, doing the most efficient killing you possibly can. Ignore the possibility of loss. Still think rationally and strategically, but at the same time, have no fear and have no cares.

Also it helps to fly cheap but effective ships, because there's a lot more pressure to not lose if you're flying expensive boats; you can thank the killboard meta for that. I could go on a rant about killboards and the killboard attitude most players have, but that's a different issue so whatever.

With time. Your pvp will become more a reaction than an action. You will react in a fight as things develop in it.

A thousand losses each loss will teach you something, it could be you did not stay out of nuet range or a million other little things yu learn.

Either way the shakes as they are called usually stay, it is the 'freeze up' part that you lose as it all becomes more reaction.

Yeah, the freeze up part is what's killing me in pvp. I guess I just got to try someplace where solo pvp is more common and hope for the best. I have occasionally run into solo pvpers in Huola FW.

I just wish there were more pvp guides. I've found a bunch but most of them only cover the very basics.

There's so many situations though, they can't account for every one. That's when you have to actually practice and get the feel for how other ships are usually fit, how they're flown, etc.

This is a signature.

It has a 25m signature.

No it's not a cosmic signature.

Probably.

Same here, still getting mild shaking even after many solo fights. I assume that's mixture of something to lose, wanting perfection and after relatively long quiet time hunting to actually get the fight.

Note that it's only for 1-on-1, doesn't happen at all in fleets.

Tried it out and was nearly oneshotted 50% hull by a artillery Trasher, and later oneshotted by a Hecate alongside a Svipul.
Fit is aprox. 8 mil atm. Still trying it out.

Hull tanked Tristan is also a good choice.

2x ion blasters, small nos, AB/web/scram, small ancillary repper, damage control, drone damage amp and 3x tranverse bulkhead rigs. Drones to taste, though hobs should be fine as tristan gets drone tracking (and velocity I think) bonus.

It is a nasty little ship that is effective at all ranges and has a strong tank for a T1 frigate. Would recommend as an alternative to the tormentor.

I have mixed feelings about amarrian ships lately.

I can even make a eurobeat version of "The capacitor is empty" every time I fly one.

Arty svipuls? Survive initial alpha and get under guns? Scram web mandatory.
