DED Plexing Legion/Loki

Hi guys,

Right now I'm looking for potential Legion or Loki fits that can run complexes both DED / Unrated in lowsec and null.

I've searched the forums for posts about this but basically all the advice is "get a tengu" which is fine, but I'd like to play in the month that that takes. Otherwise there were a few posts from 2010 and 2012, but I assume plenty of changes have happened since then.

My preferred space would be Sansha but want to roam to other space as well and I'm running with a drone Proteus buddy of mine so fits don't have to be totally optimal.

I want something that can solo sites as well (doesn't have to solo everything).

A few questions about complexes:
What are the DPS breaks for them, I've read about some 1600 DPS armor repping sentry tower?

What is the required Tank for the harder rooms? (I've seen tanks anywhere from 1000 to 2500 suggested)

A few concerns:
Cap issues due to neuts/excessive repping

Engagement range (do I need to be outside of 50k?)

Ammo issues - if I go with ammo-hungry ships like the AC Loki / HAM Legion I don't want to be running back to hubs to restock on the 50,000 rounds of ammo after every room, also it would be tough to fit in my cargo along with the appropriate combat refit for the T3.



A few potential ideas for legions and their problems:

Drone Legion

- Sub-par dps (around 400-500 with close range lasers), but plenty of space for ammo.
- Mediocre tank at best if you want any damage mods due to slots.

- Not ammo reliant
- Tons of cargo space for refits/lewt
- Select-able damage for the most part with drones

HAM Legion -

- Need to carry lots of missiles, could use an entire cargo load in 1 site
- short range - right around 20km

- Decent dps with HAMs (around 600 with 2 bcu, 680ish with 3)
- Select-able damage with missiles

Laserlegion

- Cap reliant - with 6 lasers and conflag you only have a few minutes of cap, tough to burn things down.
- Short Range - only out to about 11km for high damage ammo, 30ish with long range
- only em/thermal damage > means I'm not moving to Angel space any time soon.

- Decent damage - around 550-600 damage with high damage, 400 with scorch
- no cargo/ammo issues - crystals <3



Don't know much about how a Loki could do all this, but I assume ammo would be terrible, and artillery is just not enough dps...

Any suggestions / advice for this would be appreciated!Smile

Beam Legion. More or less eliminates the range issue of the pulse Legion and honestly doesn't trade off that much damage/tracking.

My fit is out there. I'll post it later if you can't find it.

Clocks in at 930m to buy right now which is in my budget, so def. worth looking at.

Would it be able to do space other than sansha?

Why do you want to use faction HS for 0.0 plexes ? 300+ mils for 6% extra DPS ?

I figure the dps can be tuned down, though the tank does need the dead space mods to survive decently.
Heat Sink IIs make you lose a whopping 25 dps on the ultraviolet crystals... so yeah, definitely worth adjusting for my wallet :D
