Disgusting surrender offer

In order to preserve everyone's honour and in retaliation for some serious bullshit-spouting in local, I declared war against a grouping of pondsuckers, Unimatrix Zero-One (one man and his two alts, it would appear - it takes one to know one lol!). Anyway, this was yesterday, and I thought no more about it, other than to organise a few pew-pewing ships.

Today, I logged on to find that the vile individual had offered a 100bn surrender (which suggests they want me to continue it? confusedIdea)...along with a few choice words.


Apologies if you, as a decent human being, are offended


The question is, ladies and gentlemen of See and Pee, what would you do? Advice welcome Big smile

I would love nothing more. Unfortunately, he doesn't accept any messaging invites from unknown characters, so he's obviously some sort of psychopathic carebear.

I'm going to have to wait until he logs on and then try and chat to him in local - which should be priceless.

I'm not too familiar with surrender mechanics, how long before you can dec him again? It seems to me you should farm every penny out of this guy that you can!

I'm not sure tbh, but you can be sure I'll happily pay the war fee for the next, oh I don't know, two years or so. A financial incentive to stop the war would be nice but i'll just turn around and dec again (as any good See and Peer should do) :)

He says "enjoy wasting money and time" so I suppose he misunderstood the surrender mechanics, or word, and he is ready to ,defiantly, accept peace only if you "give" him 100 bn. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense.

Or maybe he means enjoy wasting these 100bn and the ships you will buy with them... :D

If I were in your shoes Bumble, this is what I would do.

1. Take the offer. I think it's a bigger smear to your e-honor to not take that kind of offer simply because of its magnitude and the likely fact that he's trying to get 100 billion ISK out of you.
2. Offer to reimburse any corp that wardecs whatever corp this individual's pilots are in for as long as you play EvE.
3. See how many more billions of ISK this guy is willing to offer up.

It seems that 100billion ISK can't buy happiness, but I'd bet it can buy an eternal swath of wardecs....

See, the thing is, I of course instantly tried to accept the surrender when I saw how much he was offering...except I can't accept it because it says "The character in question can't afford to pay this amount".
