I personally love the Raven. However I would definatly suggest the Raven Navy Issue, as it is leagues above the Raven. My bling fit one would solo 10/10 without breaking a sweat. Anyway I threw together a Raven fit that is decent.

How to fly it
Keep your active tank on unless you are running the AB (It last around 7 minute with it running). You are Cap stable with the Shield booster running, so keep it running. You have an awesome range with the cruise missiles so there is no need to close distance to anything unless you are looting. The Cap battery should give you some help against nuets so that is helpful against Blood raiders. The Gist Shield booster is on the blingy side I know, but it is there for cap stability.
Have a flight of light drones in the bay for smaller ships. The bay can fit three flights of lights or one flight of lights, and one flight of mediums. Use that as you see fit. The DPS output is a bit low, which is another reason I like the navy issue version.
The reason I have Tech I Launchers is because the Tech II Missile are garbage when it comes to applying damage to anything less than capital size. Navy missiles are way better. As always you can bling the fit out more or less, and it will still work.

Shocked thats like the cookie cutter pimp raven from 2007, we are however in 2015 and cccs don't go on mission ravens anymore. Don't need full rigors and painters with faction missiles, but without fury missiles raven damage is just meh. might as well fly a domi and just afk faceroll stuff with sentries.

Unlike a lot of other ships (which cost more to make then just going out and buying one) the rattler is generally cheaper if you buy the BPC on contracts (shop around though) and make one yourself.

Regardless, don't break it. Good tank is not the same as invulnerable.

I enjoyed the Dominix a lot before the changes in drone aggro mechanics. Now all that drone management is too much fuss. Raven is kind of boring though.

Have you considered Maelstrom or Megathron?

with sentry drones the changes to drone aggro almost don't matter. Just have to scoop/deploy every now and then, and they have enough hp you don't even have to constantly pay attention. and for the most part with the bonuses lights will take out elite frigs before they are a problem, if your sentries don't snipe them first.

Raven plus RHML is worth considering provided you're happy with managing the reload times. Better DPS than cruise, though the range is considerably shorter. VERY good damage application meaning less reliance on drone skills. Cheap to do too and a relatively quick train if you're stepping up from missile based cruiser hulls.

I'm having a blast with my Navy Dominix. Fit for all gank and decent enough resist and LMJD. Having beefy rails and sentry drones alpha everything is nice.
