We don't often see you around here, now the real speculation begins,

I have seen some people that have made a lot of ISK do some silly things with it, I don't think 1T beats the silly things bought record either.

Having ISK do not show ability to make ISK. You can be just bored and have IRL money.

Making ISK prove you are good at making ISK. So the number doesnt matter, what matters is the %.

You have 1T to throw away and you do, you are bad at making ISK. Even if you have 10T to throw away.

You have 100 ISK and make 50000 with it, you are better making ISK.

That is one of ~15% of people bad at maths.
45 + 15% is 51.75.

It's very easy to use 200 mil to make 1 bil.

But it's much, much harder to use 1 tril to make 500 bil.

This game is slowly getting devoured by its own "free" market. It loses any other dimension than profit.

Well, EVE market is an infant market style using the interventor government paradigm of controling the main input and output of monetary value. For those into finance, you have already the example of US and UK on how to take advantage of that for at least 300 years.

Maybe if it were to step up from interventor government to the promoting government paradigm, it would be less prone to so easy manipulation.

This is true.

I've long said that if I can ever acquire four or five trillion, I will obliterate Hek as a tradehub.

Why? Because **** Hek, that's why.

For your culture a commune is market controlled by a single player, respectively the Party. That player has the power to speculate and dictate the price on any product they wish under an ideological pretext that gives them supreme decision power. The lack of opposition is exactly what happens in Eve. Comrade.

I once bought all the minmatar T2 frigates from Rens and gave them away to locals. Why? Because I can.

That costs a lot less than buying all the Mex.

I know there's more than one occasion I've bought all the interceptors in Dodixie for resale. I can afford that pretty easily, someone with a bit more than me could do it in Jita.

But doing it with a mineral is very different. There's usually about a trillion ISK worth of each mineral in Jita and a trillion or more in combined minerals in Amarr and Dodixie.

can't say I didn't make a buy on this post.. thanks :) as a trader I struggle w/ places to put my isk now that I have a certain amount. A few hundred million isk gamble is nothing when the upside is pretty huge and looking at the year graph its retraced the gap, i expect it runs further so there is plenty of chance for upside here. Some speculation on citadels and cap changes makes this a pretty good bet. **** minerals in general would be a pretty good place to park some isk that you can't figure out what to do with.

It's a far better trade than any of these bonds or whatever are offered here on MD lol.

FFS people, why wanting to over-complicate everything?

If I need some mexallon I either mine it or buy it. If I need a few million isk worth I may well set an evening aside for a little mining. If I need a few trillion isk worth I’ll buy it. It’s not so very complicated really.
I know people want to exude expertise and turn everything into either some sort of conspiracy theory or complex market ploy (“It’s the goons I tell you, they own exhumer BPOs so all that hisec miner ganking is just them propping-up their own ill-gotten gains” … you know the sort of thing).

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Speaking of which, our next blog about the new structures will specifically answer how they are built (hull, modules, rigs). Design passed various internal reviews, just some fine tuning on the rig balancing is left.

So expect the blog in 2-3 weeks.

If CCP make it super heavy on minerals, that whould destroy t4 PI.
If CCP makes it POS-like -> nothing changes.

CCP do make dumb moves, but to destroy one of major sinks of PI...

Tl;dr. I wonder, who will be left, holding that bag.

And I'm to tired to fly to new BR-5, so no pre-phoebe cap brawls.

Update:

Citadels and caps in spring, hf tanking Mex for half a year ;D
